I am nearing Bridesmaid or Best Man shoe crisis as we have not found shoes for them yet! I’m a total shoe person I started to search for shoes online, hoping to get fab shoes at a deal like I often buy for myself. Well that idea was dumb because I spent countless hours clicking and clicking and staring at the computer screen trying to find shoes for 4 girls, that they would all like. So finally I said, “figure it out yourselves please!” Either you all wear purple to match the dress or you all wear a dark bronzish color.” Well, Maid/Matron of Honor and I went shopping this weekend and can’t find a thing. It’s too late to get shoes dyed to match so we have to find something in the store. Is it really important that their shoes match closely? I was thinking of opening up the choices to include pewter as well, because Maid/Matron of Honor found tons of pewter shoes she liked. Pewter is not at all in my color scheme (peacock), but does that really matter? Should I bother to stress so much over this? Here is the dress. GMs are wearing bronze vests and ties, if that matters.

No, don’t bother stressing over it. They’ll be able to find shoes in the colors you’ve given them. Shoes usually aren’t in the photos, so if you’re worried about everything matching, it won’t be a big deal. I think it’s FAR more important that the BMs have shoes that are comfortable for them–that will ensure that they have happy faces in the photos!

I know I’ll have many Bees who disagree with me here but I think with a short dress (where the shoes are plainly visible), it looks MUCH better if everyone has matching shoes. With a long dress, I don’t think it matters as much because no one can see them.
Have you tried looking somewhere like a Shoe Carnival? We got my BMs gold shoes there BOGO so they ended up being about $17 each. Even if some of the girls don’t care for the shoes, at $17 it doesn’t really matter if they ever wear them again.

I dont think the color of shoes will matter at all.

If you have a Brucette’s in your area (or even a Payless), I think their turn around time was much faster if you’d still like to try to dye to match. But overall, I don’t think it’s that big of a deal. My ladies had short dresses and non-matching shoes. Looked fine.

I’m hoping it’s not a big deal. I just told my Maid/Matron of Honor that she can include pewter and she’s very excited. I just don’t want to stress over it anymore!
