mrsdevries:  My Fiance is … well, he is a groomzilla. Trying to tame him is quite something. I was all … I don’t want to go to this meeting … and he goes I want this that and the other thing. He wants uplighting (I don’tcare) and wants more and more and more. I have to keep reminding him we have a budget to keep.

    mrsdevries:  Not. haha.

I’ve planned everything myself. My Fiance has given input about the food, and he cares about cost… other than that he doesn’t care.

We argued about it at first because I felt so much pressure planning it on my own. But, I’ve come to terms with the fact that he is not and never will be as interested about the details of the wedding as I am, and it’s not so bad. He does listen to what I have planned and gives little bits of input here and there, but it’s usually not good, lol. For example, to save money he suggested just staying at my parents house after the wedding… how romantic! I told him we will be getting a room ahah.

Overall, I can’t complain that much, he’s being supportive, just not involved. But that means I’m also getting things 90% my way. hehe

he’s not very involved and i actually prefer that he’s not. every once in a while i ask for his opinion and has has NO idea :s He is very excited to know that he’ll be getting a chocolate on chocolate groom’s cake(his fv flavor) that will probably have something to do with baseball or football 😀 he’s very introverted and has mentioned how he’s nervous about being the focus of attention of that many people. 🙁 yet he does not want a small wedding!

I voted groomzilla but that’s mostly when it comes to sticking to the finances – he has these grand dreams but I am usually able to bring him back down to earth. If I care enough about something or dislike an idea of his enough he will usually back down. He does get pretty angry when people consult me on wedding things without asking/informing him (which does make sense, it’s not just my party and we have already told everyone not to just approach me), and he takes offense towards the way the wedding industry really only focuses on ‘the bride’. He likes to be the center of attention more than I do lol.

Not att all but I can’t complain bc I told him from the beginning that I want him to care about the wedding but don’t have an opinion (ie let me pick put what I want, sorry).  So I have been trying not to get upset that Ive done 99% of the wedding stuff incl the stuff Ive asked him to do like find athe rehearsal dinner location. He just does not grasp the sense of urgency to these things. Restaurants book up during wedding season? Ill give him a few brownie points for sitting at Paper Presenation for 3 hours while I scoured throug the Crane books for invites. Minus some points for leaving to get lunch though!!  (Bastard didn’t even bring me back any!! 🙂

My Fiance is not a groomzilla but is certainly involved in the planning. We like to entertain and frequently plan parties, we like to come up with ideas together and execute them. I’d venture to say he’s just as excited as I am.

My Fiance is not involved at ALL. He simply says “Whatever you want babe.” He knows I’m extremely Type A, but he also knows that I do want this wedding to represent the both of us.

So far I’m making ALL THE DECISIONS on my own, but thankfully my Fiance trusts my opinion.

My Fiance is definitely a groomzilla lol. He has an opinion on EVERYTHING! We got into a disagreement last week about escort cards!!!! He is involved in the smallest details and while I like that he cares, it can get exhausting. Gotta love ’em though.

I voted somewhat interested… I ask his opinion on everything, and sometimes he has more to say than others (i.e., when choosing colours I showed him a ton of different palettes I liked, and he just said “don’t pick something too girly”, aka all pink). He came to the meeting with the florist/decor lady and was pretty into that, asked some questions, etc. I do all the “heavy lifting” though, and just run everything by him. He hasn’t had any ideas where he said “I want to do this!”, but then again, he’s like that in just about all aspects of life. He’s a very go with the flow kind of guy 🙂

My fiancé has been involved in pretty much everything! Except my dress of course 😉 he also didn’t have a huge input into the bridesmaids/flowergirl dresses but I did show him some styles before hand and he liked everything i suggested. I knew he wasn’t phased with the colour so I wasn’t too stressed when we ended up picking bm dresses in a colour that was different to what I had thought of previously! In saying that though, they are amazing and the girls look fab in them! My fiancé also organised the entertainment and spoke with family friends about them providing produce for our caterer for wedding meals. He has also been very involved with booking ceremony location and reception venue an has completed all paperwork for that.

mrsdevries:  He’s none of those things really. Fiance is handling the big ticket things- communicating/negotiating with vendor, designing wine list, etc. I’m handling all the details- decor, etc.

Fiance is sharing the responsibilities and managing things without getting stressed out or controlling.

mrsdevries:  He’s very much involved in the things that interest him, such as the food, the cake, the suits, the venue etc.  We’ve picked the photographer and band, and designed our stationary together.  He’s very interested and I love that.  But for much of the other stuff – DIYing centrepieces, cake topper, card box, ewellery etc etc he isn’t hands on, but that’s because I haven’t asked – if I were to ask him for help he will be there every step, but if I don’t ask, he won’t notice I’m working on something until I show it to him!
