I am definitely the lead in planning but definitely consult him on most things I know he will care about.
He is adorable because he wants all these grand things but doesn’t realize the cost until afterward. We are getting married at disneyland so we can have these trumpeters announce my, his, our arrival and he wants them… They cost upwards of $1250!!! Umm… No! He also told our Disney contact that he wants custom made monogrammed flags like the ones outside of Sleeping Beauty’s castle for our ceremony… Umm… hahha…

And Disneyland was his second choice, so technically, he picked the venue 🙂

I lead everything, but always make sure that I double check things with him. He did put his foot down that we would absolutley NOT have a pink wedding. (I would’ve gone overboard as pink is my favorite color EVER). Other than that, he’s pretty much whatever I want. My Future Brother-In-Law was very involved in their wedding and Future Sister-In-Law says to be greatful Fiance doesn’t want to be that involved.

He’s not too interested in details.  Only things he’s really involved with is the food. He’s a chef and wants to make sure everything is to his standard.  He picked out our colors anything else I pick is fine with him. I really just say “I like this it and it cost xyz”. Lol

We made the big decisions together — the date, the venues, the food, the bridal party, the vendors.

But the details like colors, decorations, etc. he is leaving totally up to me. Not that he doesn’t care, but, like most men, he has no idea what the difference is between matte and glossy invitations, etc.

I kinda like it this way!

Fiance and I are long distance right now so he’s not here for any meetings and doesn’t seem to mind.  He’ll be here for tastings and is helping write the ceremony, but that’s about it.

We have been engaged and planning for almost a year and I can honestly say my Fiance has really been involved in everything. When I go shopping he wants to see what I got because he genuinely cares. When I find something online I get excited about he shares my excitement with me because he is excited too and it’s fun to be excited together. When we have a decision to make I tell him my thoughts, and he is pretty good about seeing my side and agreeing and when we don’t agree (guest list drama) we compromised and it was good.
