My rings are very different:

Former ring was a three stone ring with diamonds on the band. The total weight of my ring was 5.5 carats.  Center princess diamond was 2.75 ct. and side stones were canary yellow princess cut 1 carat each. The remaining is .75 ct on the band. And suprise suprise I never wore it, i am the modest type but I was married to a very wealthy guy who wanted the best for his gal.  We are still good friends just the timing wasn’t right.

My new ring is 1.3 carat center stone with almost 1 carat pave band.  And I wear it all the time and I love it. I would wear a gumball machine if I had too for my super duper Fiance.

my rings are extremely different. The first time he gave me a simple silver band (no stones) that was engraved on the inside with our initials and the date he proposed.

This time it was his grandmother’s ring. Yellow gold band, with white gold surrounding the diamonds. It has three diamonds, representing past, future and present. I love this ring, and the fact that it was his grandmother’s makes it even more special.

Love reading all about how different all of our rings are. Thank God, so are our men!!

First ring ~ .75 princess cut set on an angle in with a platinum band.

New ring ~ 1.25 canary yellow center  with white diamonds surrounding it and along the band. It’s just perfect!

I’ll try to post a pic – I have no had any luck posting pictures in comments.

My other ring was yellow gold and had a marquis center stone with side stones. It was also a bridal set and the band was really thin in the same shape. It was really kind of odd. I decided this time around I wanted a separate type band in case if I ever wanted to wear them separate. (I don’t know if i would)

My engagement ring now is a princess cut solitaire setin white gold and I love it! I know, not very original, but it just suits me.

First ring was a white gold solitare diamond (round).  Very traditional.  This time around, my Mr. knows me a lot better than the first and it is a vintage looking round pink sapphire rose gold ring.  It is unique, classy and so me.  It’s beautiful.  Reminds me… I need to take some pictures for you all to see.

I haven’t been married yet, but I’m on my second e-ring……..  from the same guy!  He originally proposed in 2005 with a 1.1 carat princess cut solitaire set in white gold.  We had some "issues" and I gave the ring back to him – told him to give it back when he was serious.  Long story short, after we worked things out, he thought it would be bad luck to give me the first ring back – mentioned something about it being "cursed" LOLOL – so now I have this one!

Ooh I love this question!  What a great excuse to brag about our rings–and how many gorgeous rings there are out there.  Thank you everyone for sharing!!

My ring is a gorgeous emerald-cut emerald with a pave diamond halo set in white gold.  The band will also have pave diamonds.  I am so in love with this ring.  After trying so hard to find a diamond ring that really said “me”, I decided to look at colored gems.  The emeralds completely captivated me; I’ve wanted to wear an emerald ever since I can remember and man, it I was going to wear one, THIS is the one!  Mr. Em has set the bar quite high for himself in finding this ring with the very general directions I gave him.

What I love most about this ring and the way this wedding is shaping up is how it is more about the long-haul and what’s important to us rather than blindly following convention.  I’m feeling so lucky to have a second chance at all of this!

Best wishes to all of you and congratulations!!

@Minutiae: I’m so happy to pass along the info to a fellow emerald lover!

Here’s a photo but the stone is much grassier green in person.  I had the hardest time finding really nice rings featuring an emerald, so you might want to check out this website where I found a lot of my ideas:http://www.emeraldsandjewelry.com/rings.htmlsome really pretty settings–more sophisticated than the usual birthstone jewelry I saw at most places.

Good luck to you!!
