i’m toying with the idea of having my SO wear a different color suit all together, maybe grey? Just depends. I also LOVE the monochromatic look but I don’t think he should have on the SAME as the groomsmen. Ya know?? I love seeing the pictures, it really helps put things into perspective!

have him match YOU!

my groomsmen are wearing navy suits & rose ties in coordination with the bridesmaids rose dresses…

i assumed my Fiance would want a navy suit but with a champagne/ivory tie in coordination with my dress..  he surprised me and wants a tan suit and navy tie all together to stand out!

Darling Husband wore a different bout. Everything else was the same for him and his GMen.

He wore a different kilt and had a rose in his bout instead of just berries.

Hi!

We have decided to go for same suit and waistcoat but with different colour ties.  Havent decided whether the groomsmen should have the pink tie or whether my hubby-to-be should have the pink!!

I’m really glad I saw this thread cause I hadn’t even thought about having the groom look different from the groomsmen!

He wore a white bow tie, and the rest of the boys wore black:

The wedding party wore gold vests and ties; Darling Husband wore an ivory vest and tie.

He’s wearing a silver vest and tie (matches my shoes), and the groomsmen are wearing the same style, but in blue to match the bridesmaids.

Our colors were cobalt blue and apple green.  We had our groomsmen in blue, our officiant in green, and Darling Husband, well, a mix of those! He had a green/blue tie with a white vest combo.

Actually, nothing! He only has one Groomsmen, his best man, so we thought it would look silly for them to do something mismatched because then it would just look…mismatched, lol. FI’s bout will probably be bigger/different flowers than the best man’s though.

All the guys had the black suit with a black shirt. We didn’t do vests. I bought the Groomsmen green ties with green pocket squares and the groom a white tie with a white pocket square. His bout was also different. They looked awesome!

I never thought about this!  But I like the picture with the white bow tie vs the black.  Also I am making him a more detailed boutonniere, does that count?

I’m having a Mexico beach wedding and he will be wearing a full beige linen suit with a white shite underneats… and the guys will be wearing the same but withough the jacket and they will have rolled up sleeves… of course he will be taking the jacket off once the ceremony and photos are done
