This just came up and I dont have ANY ideas!!! My Fiance ring doesnt have a box, so what would be the best and safest way to have my Maid/Matron of Honor carry his ring? On her thumb is the only thing I can think of

We had the best man carry all the rings. Never heard of Maid/Matron of Honor carrying any.

@FutureMrsDavis10132012: Usually the ringbearer carries the rings. If you don’t have a ringbearer than in most cases I think the best man would carry both rings and hand them to you all at the appropriate time.

We’re not having a ring bearer.
So the Maid/Matron of Honor doesnt have his ring at all?

We had our moms bring up the rings for a special blessing because we love them and wanted them included in the ceremony, but yeah usually the best man has them both since he has pockets. I’ve also heard of the Maid/Matron of Honor putting the ring on her thumb.

Our best man carried all the rings… He had the pockets, the Maid/Matron of Honor didn’t! 😀

Maid/Matron of Honor carried DH’s in our wedding and Best Man carried mine. She had it on her thumb, he wore mine on his pinky…

Our best man carried both rings, too. But if you wanted her to carry it, she could do it on her thumb! Keep in mind that when you exchange rings, she’ll already be holding your bouquet so it may be easiest to give them to the best man.

No ring bearer here, but my brother (the BM) is going to hold the rings.

@FutureMrsDavis10132012: Honestly, I really think it’s up to you regarding who carries the rings. If you want the Maid/Matron of Honor to carry his then that’s fine and she can stick it on her thumb, but as a PP mentioned, it might be difficult for her to juggle two bouquets while removing it. Or you could give them both to the best man and have him bring them up…give them to whoever you are comfortable with and so it is meaningful for you.

Our best man carried all the rings in his pocket, (in a box). I didn’t like the idea of anyone but us wearing our rings so the Maid/Matron of Honor putting it on her thumb was a no go.

My Maid/Matron of Honor (my sister) carried it on her thumb – cause it fit 🙂
His BestM carried mine in his pocket.
In our ceremony, my Maid/Matron of Honor gave me his ring and his BestM gave him mine before we did the ring exchange.
ETA: My ‘maids did not have bouquets – so she didn’t have to juggle anything!

Mine carried my ring just on her pinky finger and no one could see cuz she was holding the bouquet
