How late can I send out STD’s for June 26, 2010? I’ve been so back and forth on sending them, but my FI’s best man sent his out for their July 17 wedding and it reignited my desire to send them out. When did you send your’s out?

I wouldn’t be upset by a Save the Date nowish for a June 26th wedding. I say GO FOR IT! :o)

I am getting married July 3 and will be sending out the STD’s by the end of January. Most of our guests already know when the wedding will be (we are only have 100 guests or so), but because it’s a holiday weekend, I still wanted to send them out.

For my wedding last June we sent them about 9 months in advance. Its not too late but if you are going to mail them I would do it by the end of February. Youll be mailing your invites in April/May so you dont want to mail them right on top of each other.

Better than being too late like us, we’re a whole month behind.

I don’t think it’s too late but I would do it soon!

I would say send them out before April.

Yeah, I would send them in the next month. Waiting till March is too late, IMO.

We sent ours in October, but that’s for a long weekend, in LA/Anaheim, right at the peak of vacation season in a vacation attraction town. Plus 80% of our guests are Out of Town, so we may have a special case.
Like many said above, I think it’s fine to send them out by February – that’s about 2 months before you send your invites, so it works out. Hope it turns out well!

We sent ours out this week (were shooting for six months in advance, but wanted to avoid the holiday rush)—I think you’re more than good if you send them out sometime this month!

I agree that you have time. I’d try to send them out as early in February as possible.

Ha! I sent mine like last week! I had originally wanted to send them before Thanksgiving, but I didn’t have all my addresses ready to go. And then once Christmas was here, I didn’t want them all meddled with people’s Christmas cards too. So, like last week. Took less than 3 days to get to most people.

I think you have time. If it makes you feel any better, my cousin is getting married in February and just mailed out her Save-The-Date Cards this morning!

I sent some out with Christmas cards to our close friends and family…the rest I will just do as I see people or eventually get addresses for.

All of the checklists say to send Save-The-Date Cards at 6 months, although we’re at about 4 1/2 and we still haven’t gotten the darned things out the door (and everyone is coming from out of state…whoops!)
My friend just sent her actual invitations 4 months out (after sending an email STD a couple months ago.) I guess you just have to think about your guests and how much time they will need to plan.
