commenting to follow! My preseed just came in the mail yesterday, so we haven’t used it yet.  But I plan on using it only when I’m about to O because it’s too expensive to use as an everyday lube!

Also, for future commenters, did you use it in the syringe or as you would a normal lube?

I started using last Spring, and got a BFP in August that unfortunately ended in MC, although I am sure the two are unrelated. We used it as regular, no syringe. I actually stopped using it this month, because we have been trying since MC with no luck, so I don’t think it is actually helping any. It isn’t a magic fix, but it is better to use pre-seed than other types of lube.

natbrown0703:  Just use it like regular lube. It doesn’t actually do anything to lead to pregnancy; it’s just to use in place of regular lube if you don’t care for dry painful sex lol. The idea is just that it may be safer on sperm. Which I suppose it could be, although it’s not like KY has spermicide in it (using regular lube has never been found to prevent pregnancy by any percentage as far as I know). But you’re just as well off using coconut oil or something if you need it. That definitely wouldn’t harm the sperm and you’re avoiding the ingredients with all the weird names altogether. Preseed certainly does have less ingredients than regular lubes though, which is always a plus!

    Good luck TTC!! 🙂

Started using it last spring, still no BFP. Stopped using it because my husband didn’t like it.

natbrown0703:  We’ve used it both ways.  I’ve been TTC for 2 years now with no luck, and we started using it around Octoberish…but we haven’t used it everytime.

I suspect that I don’t produce enough natural CM…if this is the case for you, then use the syringe.  A lot of people said that using the recommended amount in the syringe made a huge mess and was way too much product for them.  For me, the recommended amount was fine…but again, I don’t think I have enough fertile CM naturally.

If you’re just looking for a sperm friendly lube, then just use a small amount like you would a regular lube.

The whole idea behind the syringe is to help the sperm get to the cervix.  Using the applicator puts the all of the product at the cervix for the sperm to swim through…if you don’t naturally have good quality CM, the sperm can’t reach the cervix, and therefore, can’t reach the uterus.

Look up The Great Sperm Race on Youtube….I always thought it was a very interesting video and really puts the process in perspective!

Cote1590:  Darling Husband and I have been using Preseed every time we have sex during the last week – I use the applicator and fill it to the 2g line. I won’t be able to test until February 9th at the earliest – today is my O day, so now it’s time to wait it out! I’ll update once I test. I hope I’m one of the lucky ones who gets pregnant their first cycle using Preseed. Darling Husband and I haven’t been trying long, only since the end of November.

Cote1590:  we started ttc right after we got married last June. We didn’t have success June or July, but heard about preseed in August and used it and we got pregnant that same month.  I’m not sure if it was due to the preseed, or if it was because I monitored when I ovulated more closely than in the previous months

We used it for 2-3 cycles with no luck, the cycle we didn’t use it is the cycle I got my BFP.
