Haven’t had our wedding yet so I can’t necessarily comment on my own, but I will try to get them out within a month. I made my own invites with coordinating thank you cards so I already have them in my possession, just need to write them out and mail after the wedding.

I have gotten thank yous up to 6+ months after wedding, as quick as a few weeks….and we just got a FB message “thank you” from a wedding we went to a few months ago….*eye roll*.

Also, I’ve been to quite a few weddings and gotten nothing *eye roll*

It irks me when its longer than a month. Unless you’re on Honeymoon for a month, theres not really any reason for the delay. I’d rather receive a prompt plain thank you than a photo thank you as well.

We’ll be doing them the days after the wedding and sending them when home hopefully. As long as we have enough stamps, they’ll be out within 2 weeks lol.

everythingpink :  I have the summer off and recently moved into the new house everyone practically furnished with our registry from the wedding so I wanted to get the TY’s out right away. I had them all sent within the first month of our wedding. It wasn’t hard or very time consuming even though I did it alone. DH only wrote the two that wouldn’t have made sense coming from my handwriting.

I hope to get me within the month after the wedding, 2 months at most.

I’ll have in hand before the wedding so it should be doable.

It took us a little longer than it should have. Between moving 8 hours away and my husband starting a PhD program we got a late start on the thank-you’s. We got them out within about 2 months.

everythingpink :  I would have had them all done in two weeks but hubby took a long time to write those final ones. He started out with 15 to write and as the week progressed I would just write them for him since I finished my stack. Finally those last two I was like “babe write this thank you letter right now or so help me…”

everythingpink :  Yeah…and I thought maybe they’d send an actual thank you also, but nope. That was it! Also, she only sent it to my Fiance, not even me also, even though we both attended and both gave the gift.

Her wedding was…interesting…so i’m not really surprised at the trashiness of the thank yous.

We wrote our thank-you notes as we received gifts prior to the wedding, so we only had  to write to those few people who brought gifts to the wedding (just another reason why guests whould have their gift delivered not bring it to the wedding- their thank-you notes will be more timely.

We had a two week honeymoon, but got going on them right after that.  We had a smaller wedding, so they only took a week to complete between me and DH each doing a few a day.

I never go a thank you for a gift we sent to one of DH’s family member’s wedding back in October (we were on our honeymoon during the wedding).  At this point, I know we aren’t getting one, and I think it’s really horrible!!!

Fiance and I just went to a wedding in April ,  sent the couple a gift off their registry in January and gave a card with gift inside at the April wedding . …still haven’t received a thank you for either gift…and I was a close personal guest of her father. I know they only went on a one week honeymoon then right back to work after. not sure what the hold up is but it would be nice to have heard back from someone…even her dad, but nothing yet.

Our honeymoon was almost 3 weeks long but we worked on them after we got home. I would say we got them out in the 1-3 month time frame.

ETA: We handwrote all of ours. I’ve gotten some pretty fast but some were pre-printed which is an etiquette fail in my book.
