We started considering our options two months after the proposal and decided on a date and venue three months after.

We got engaged in May. Booked our venue at the end of July.

We chose our date within 2 weeks. We had our season and year (fall 2016) almost immediately, but didn’t pick an actual date until we found our venue and checked their availability.

I’ve always wanted a fall wedding, so I knew the season from the moment he proposed. We ultimately chose a venue and date about 3 weeks after he popped the question. 🙂

He proposed in January, and we had our venue and date picked in February.

We started thinking about it right away and we went back and forth changing our minds! We finally decided on one date and now it’s stuck because we’re just about to sign our first contract. Here we go!

About a month after. I had a general idea of the season I wanted when he proposed, but didn’t set the official date until later.

We decided on the year and season over dinner on the night we got engaged. We found our venue, checked schedules, and set a date about a week or two later.

We set a date about 2 weeks after we got engaged. I learned very quickly that there is really very little planning you can actually do before you have the date/venue.

We always knew that we would get married on exactly our 10 years anniversary so the wedding date was already set 9 years before we got engaged 🙂

About a week. But we had joked many times in the past that we were going to get married on our “dating anniversary” so we wouldn’t have to remember another date 😂 From there we just had to find the next time our relationship anniversary fell on a Saturday (it happened to be nearly 2 years away) and that was that! We made it official by booking the venue for the date about 3 months later.

We got engaged in January of this year, and we knew immediately that we wanted to get married in June 2017. We knew the exact date within about 2 weeks because we booked our venue pretty quickly.

A year! We went with a two year engagement and the first year we were busy finding apartments and just settling into our newly engaged status. We definitely didn’t rush into picking a date.  Take some time to enjoy being engaged first.

We set the date about -1 month from engagement. laughing  I knew the proposal was imminent, and when we found out our favorite historical site could be rented as a wedding venue, we didn’t even want to take a chance on not being able to secure it. We jumped on it! And he officially proposed about a month later. 🙂

tayegs :  I TOTALLY understand. I wouldn’t even book during football season at all, because there was no way I was going to miss an Aggie game!! And none of my family would have been at the wedding either, lol.
