- Wedding: March 2017
We knew where we wanted to get married (our favorite restaurant) before we were engaged. We met with them the day we got engaged (we got engaged in the city where our favorite restaurant is) and we had an answer from them about availability with the specific people we wanted working it within a week and a half or so.
ETA: We also knew year and season prior to engagement, and we were looking at a very short engagement, so we jumped on it. I could NOT do wedding planning for any longer than a few months! I’m way more focused on our new home.
He proposed on December 12. We waited until after the Christmas/New Year’s rush to start touring venues. We signed our contract and picked the date with our venue on January 16… so a little over a month.
Within the month. Got engaged November 1st, put down a deposit at the venue November 29th.
Immediately. We really liked our anniversary, so we picked that date. Just happens to be the perfect time of the year for a wedding. 😊 Putting down the deposits for the venue in a week. 💕💕
We got engaged in December of last year and put down the deposit on our venue in May. So, 5 months. Before then our date was all over the place because we weren’t sure where we would be living.
9 months. We weren’t in any hurry to pick a venue/date as we knew our engagement would be at least 2 years.
After 5 years haha
Probably just over a month. We got engaged in early November. His brother got married 5 weeks later so we purposefully didn’t plan or talk about it until after that. So we started looking at venues just before Christmas and booked our venue before New Years Eve (I think the 27th).
Within the week.
About a month..
Within a few days we had a rough idea of when we wanted to get married, but it was about a month/a month and a half latter when we actually booked a venue and got a date locked down.
