Love love love babies! And babies are definatley in our future…
I just got married a week ago (basically) and everyone is now telling me it’s “baby makin time”.
or asking me when we plan on it…
For me, i would love to have a baby right now… BUT we are young, and want to enjoy my married life for a bit right now…
So the question, How long after you got married did you try to concieve (or get pregnant lol) ?

We are TTC right now, but I may have some fertility issues that may prevent us from conceiving quickly (PCOS). That coupled with the fact that I’m 27 and we have been together for 8 years already helped to make up our mind to TTC soon. We only got married a little over 2 weeks ago 🙂 I actually have an appointment today to talk over our options!

We were late 30’s when we got married. We started TTC before he wedding 🙂 about 4 months before.

We got married when we were both 23 and are only just now TTC at 32. I dunno…I think it just took us a long time to grow up and really decide we were ready. For a long time in my twenties I didn’t want children at all and DH was fine with that, but once I hit 30 something changed lol. We’ve been trying for like 8 cycles so we’re hoping I get knocked up soon. 🙂

We got married in August and this is our first cycle trying, so we waited about 3 months. Ugh, the comments right after the wedding were the WORST! We wanted to TTC right away, but we were just waiting for a raise/promotion to come through before jumping in. The comments made waiting even worse, but I know they were coming from a place of love and excitement for us (it’ll be the first grandbaby on both sides).
I think we’ve got everyone fooled into thinking we’re waiting a while, because no one (not even the grandmas-to-be) has bugged us about it in several weeks. Throw ’em off the scent and hang in there!
I want to spill the beans that we’re TTC to my mom soooo bad, but I’m keeping my mouth shut until we get a BFP and an it sticks for a few weeks.

We’re getting married next year and are both in our early 30’s so we’re planning on TTC starting 3 months before the wedding.

I got pregnant about 3 months before the wedding though it was our plan to try afterwards. We were both 29 when we got married. I didn’t want children before 30.

We planned to start trying 2 years later but ended up conceiving on our honeymoon.

Oh man, it looks like DH and I are late bloomers. We were married 2 years ago after being together for 9 years. Now we’re just starting to TTC – we’re 30 and 35. We both wanted a little time to accomplish a few personal and career goals before starting our family.

@gigglebox: We got pregnant just a few weeks after our one year anniversary. We were going to wait until fall (little less than a year and a half after marriage) but we couldn’t find a good enough reason to wait 🙂

We started TTC 2 weeks after we got married (I was 26 – DH 31). We both have good jobs, own a house together, and lived together for over 3 years.

@gigglebox: First of all, that is just what people do when you get married! I don’t know why, but everyone seems to want to say, “Oh, you’ll be having kids next.” Jeez, peeps!
If you are ready and your DH is ready, then go for it! If not, don’t worry if you want to wait awhile. My DH and I waited 2 years. People did seem to eventually “give up” on us having kids (which is ridiculous), but it’s actually kind of fun because it will be more of a surprise when we finally get a BFP and can share the news.

-15 months lol
We (kind of) unexpectedly got pregnant with DD 8 months before our wedding date (we had baby fever, and while we did plan on TTC a few months before the wedding, it happened earlier than we originally planned).
So we moved the wedding ahead to when our DD was 6 months old.
DH and I had been together for 6-7 years by that point, so we had already had lots of “together time.”

@gigglebox: we just got engaged and our plan is to get married summer 2015, buy the house and within a year start TTC. It’ll give us a good two to three years to enjoy our time, save and plan. We’re still young (almost 24 and 26) so we still feel we have a little bit of time to settle an adjust and be ready for anything!
