We started trying 5 mos after the wedding due to my age.  If I were younger we would have waited a year or two.  Got BFP on our first month trying.

    I guess that would be 7 months….

We’re planning on starting in January. We’ve gone back and forth on the timeline but i think we are both in agreement now… even tho the reality of it all is starting to really set in. Part of me would be okay waiting til our 1 year anniversary in June but he is refusing to wait that long cus ya know he SOOO ancient… he’s 28. Hes so terrified of that big 30. I kinda caught the baby fever bug tho so ya know he really had to twist my arm. lol

i am 32 and Darling Husband is 35, we started trying on the honeymoon.

if i was younger (under 30), i would have enjoyed married life before TTC.

From the time we got married to when we expect to TTC (this winter!! Yay!!) it will be about 2.5 years or so. So we’ll definitely be married for 3 years when baby arrives.

It was hard for me to wait because like you, I LOVE kids! But I’m so glad we did and I’m glad we’ve had some time to adjust to being married and really build a strong foundation in our marriage. (We lived together before marriage too, but I still feel like there was an adjustment.)

We are 30 & 34, each with a child from a previous relationship. We started about a month before the wedding.

@megz06:  Umm yeah this was my face (O_O) after the 1st through 12th pregnancy test I took.  I just couldnt believe it!  We’ve been together 9 years and as SOON as we get married we get pregnant.  What are the odds.  But its a blessing.

We got married in September and plan to start trying around June. I’m 31 and he’s 35, and we’ve been together for 5 years already, so don’t want to wait too long.  Plus I have crazy baby fever!

We married in 2008 when I was 25 and he was 28. He thought he’d be ready to try when he was 30, but it turned out he needed a few more years. We ended up conceiving just about on our 5 year anniversary, one month shy of my 31st birthday, after just one cycle of trying. I’m glad we had those years to ourselves!

@gigglebox:  How young is young? We plan on taking a two month trip around Europe in June and start trying after. I want to check my big bucket list items off the list before settling down. I will just be turning 26 and he will be 29.

@gigglebox:  We will start NTNP around 2.5 years after getting married and plan to seriously TTC around our third anniversary. I think it is a good time after being together for about 6 years. If all goes well, I will be 30 and Darling Husband 33 when we have our baby. I think it’s a great age, and we would have spent plenty of time together. We already bought a house and are saving for baby #1.
