Was it love at first sight? Was it a gradual growing on you? When did you realize your SO was the one?
Mine was after I’d driven to Salt Lake and he’d flown there so we could go to a Science Fiction convention. This was our second time meeting and we’d known each other for a month. I knew he was the one when the convention was absolutly awful, but we still ended up having the time of our lives. I knew that if we could laugh at something that bad he was the one for me.

@renwoman: When I first met Fiance I never actually spoke more than a few words to him, hes the most shy person you have EVER met haha! But all the same, I couldn’t get him outta my head. About two months after getting together I finally realised I couldn’t stop thinking about him because I loved him, and I just couldn’t imagine leaving him 🙂

I can’t think of a specific moment it happened… I swear I’ve just always known.

Might sound crazy to some but when I met him I immediately felt something. I won’t say it was love at first sight but I knew there was something special about him, and we’ve been together ever since! Literally a week after we met we both told each other we would get married one day, and here we are almost 6 years later, and we’ll be married a year from tomorrow! Eeee 🙂

There was no lightbulb moment. After we had known each other for three months (we were just flirting/casually dating), I realized I was in love with him and I had a really good feeling about our future. But it was still early and I was cautious. A year after that, I knew with conviction that he was the one I wanted to marry.

We went on our first date and had a great time. Then I went out of town for a long weekend and we texted/talked on the phone the entire time. I knew as soon as I saw him for our second date that he was the one.

“I can not fix on the hour, or the spot, or the look or the words which laid the foundation. It was too long ago. I was in the middle before I knew that I had begun.”
That quote from Pride and Prejudice pretty much sums it up. After our first date I felt nothing but he was a good guy so I gave it another go. The second date was fun but I didn’t feel a spark. Then sometime between that night and the end of our third date a week layer I was hooked. My father claims I was SUPER excited for our third date. My BFF says she was surprised by my giddy call after it. I don’t know when exactly it turned but I know on our fourth date we were having serious relationship discussions and I was in it 100%.

Honestly, I don’t know if there was a moment that I just knew, I think it was always kind of there. Before I met him my 2 best friends spoke of him a lot, I was very enticed by what they said and wanted to know morw about him, how he was doing(he was going through a hard time) and everything in between. I had never seen a picture of him and yet when I went to church with them one night so I could meet him, i was sitting in my chair and I looked back to see if he finally showed up and there I saw him in the back of the room. I KNEW it was him, even though he didn’t look like they had described (he had dyed and cut his hair and they didn’t know, so he looked totally different than what they told me).
From that point on I knew I wanted to be with him, 6 months later i added him on myspace and we started talking, dating, and now here we are still 5 years later.

Well I met my Fiance when I was 13. We became best friends really quickly, but didn’t start dating until we were 15. I’ll be honest, there were times before we started dating that I thought he was the one, but I also thought, “You’re 14. What do you know?” lol. After we started dating I feel like I knew after about 2 months. Its now 12 years later 🙂

We met during our junior year in highschool and started dating the summer before our senior year. Once we were official, I immediately knew he was the one. =] He was/is my best friend.

To be honest, I can’t pinpoint it. When we met, apparently he thought I was an asshole because I made some comment about his hair LOL. We didn’t really talk for almost a year after that, but by some crazy twist of fate we ended up being dance partners for a big performance (we met at a dance class and became part of the same salsa team). Started seeing each other not too long after that and although I can’t say I figured out when I knew he was the one, I CAN say that almost immediately, I felt that something was very different about my relationship with him. The good kind, of course 🙂
