My wedding is on a Saturday and we are leaving for our honeymoon 2 Saturday’s later for a week. So, I will probably take off Thursday and Friday before my wedding and then the Monday after. And then a full week for my honeymoon. Not too much time. My fiance and I still want time left for the rest of the year for summer vacations and the holidays.

I just got married on Saturday, and we’re also delaying the honeymoon 2 months. We took off Thursday, Friday, Monday, Tuesday. We also got married a 6 hour flight away from where we live.

We had a Saturday wedding and are doing a delayed honeymoon too. I took off Thursday and Friday before the wedding and the Monday after; my husband was saving his vacation time for the honeymoon and only took off Monday. It felt like the right length of time (not too much, not too little), but I freely admit that on both Tuesday and Wednesday I had so much wedding-brain that I only got about 2/3s as much work done as usual.

I’m taking the whole week before the wedding and then 2 weeks after for our honeymoon.
The reason for the whole week before is because the venue is 1.5hr away from my house and I will need to take a couple trips there to drop of decor and such. I will need to bring the hotel bags to the hotel, I will need to pack for the honeymoon, I will be moving into FIs place, and finish any DIY last minute things. So much to do! All of my 3 weeks vacation gone in one shot for the year! Ahh!

My fiancé and I are taking off Thursday and Friday, wedding Saturday, then off Monday. We have an 8 hour flight to get in so will probably fly out Wednesday night and back on monday. I would have only taken off Friday but I want to make sure we have an extra day in case there are any flight complications. I’m not sure what there would be to do for a whole week beforehand.

No imput on time off, but just want to say that it’s awesome that you get to take a month-long honeymoon. Where are guys going?

Taking a week before and a week after. I have the PTO and lots of out of state guests will be here during that time. Our honeymoon won’t be until a couple months later.

Today is my last day off! :'(
October 5th was my first day off (Wednesday) and October 8th was my wedding. So two weeks off total! Our honeymoon was a three day long excursion to Mackinac Island.

My wedding is a Saturday and, at this stage, I’m only planning to take the Monday (to pick up my dress from the seamstress) and the Friday before off work – I’ll be at work on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. I’ll possibly take the Monday after off work, but I’m not 100% settled on this yet. My Fiance is only taking the Friday before off work – he doesn’t have much leave stored up at the moment and needs to save as much as possible for the Christmas break.

I took the week before (our Saturday wedding) and the following week for the honeymoon. I was well rested and very relaxed.
FYI – Our wedding was in my hometown so we had to travel/fly to our destination. 🙂

I’m taking the day before our wedding off and two weeks after the wedding off. One week for our honeymoon and one week to move into our house.

I’m getting married on a Saturday and the plan is to leave for the honeymoon right after. I plan to take Thursday & Friday before off (I’m already off on Friday due by nature of my work schedule). Then taking 1.5-2 weeks off following the wedding.
I say take off at least 1 day before and a couple of days after. There will be lots of things to do that day before and afterwards, you want time to just relax and take it all in before going back to work. Plus you don’t want people at work hounding you about the wedding just a day or two afterwards.
