I’m on the pill right now so that’s fully regulating my cycles, but before that they were all over the place. Sometimes 15 days but more often closer to 50 :/

it’s the right place to post it… but i seem to remember a pretty big poll about the same thing a week or two ago, if you want some quick answers!! mine vary from 28-45 days.

I didn’t realize this was in the TTC board!

My answer is not relevant, I’m sorry 🙁

I have only been off the pill since the end of August and I’m on my 2nd cycle now. My first cycle was 34 days, so we will see how long this one lasts!

i havent been off the pill for too long… didnt chart the first cycle and it was roundabout 40 days, had another 40 day cycle, then a 28 day cycle, then a 35 day cycle and this one hopefully wont end with a period, but if it does it will be 28 or 29 days long.

I think i realised something though my cycles are shorter when i ovulate on the right side – has anyone else noticed something like this before?

Mine average out at 32 days, but I have gone as high as 38 days a couple of times.

I went off the pill in July.  My husband and I aren’t TTC yet but I wanted to see how my cycles behaved.  My first cycle was 35 days (though it was a really weird, light, barely there period).   In this second cycle I’m currently on day 51.

I’m frustrated.  I knew my cycles would probably be weird because they were never normal before birth control and because of a prior (though questionable) PCOS diagnosis, but still, I’m frustrated with the uncertainty of it all.

@Miss PumpkinPenguin:    Give yourself some time.  It can take 6 months to a year for some people to get back to ‘normal’ after coming off of BC.  For those of us with PCOS, it can be even weirder.  On the plus side, it could have been worse… you could have been like me and not had ANY natural cycle for 17 months…. lol  *hugs*  I do very much understand your frustration though.

Mine range anywhere from 25 days to closer to around 45 days. I am not ttc at the moment but I know I will probably have issues when I do go to try again. We have a son who is 7 and are planning on maybe trying in 2 years. So im going to be proactive in the next couple of years about my health so my body is well primed if I do want to have another baby.

Before I went on the pill (at 15, 11 years ago now!), mine were 28 days dead: I started my period at the exact same day and time every 4 weeks, and it lasted 7 days.

When I went on the pill, my periods gradually got shorter and lasted just 2 days; I’ve now been on the mini pill an haven’t had a period in 2.5 years. So, no idea what my cycle is like now.

I have PCOS, so mine can range anywhere from 32 to 35 days
