How long should I allow for each shop when dress shopping? I have a friend coming from out of town, so I really only have one day with her. I can certainly go on my own, but I know she’ll be the most honest person.

i allowed 2 hours between shops (10 of which was spent driving) and it worked out perfect

I spent about an hour in each. That’s enough to try on 5-10 dresses in my opinion if you move quickly.
I wouldn’t try to pack more than 2 or 3 stores into one day – it’s pretty exhausting.

I have 3 stores picked out that carry all the designers I am interested in, so that works out perfectly. Unfortunately, they are all on opposite sides of the city. Oh well. 🙂 Thanks guys!

3 stores will definitely be enough for one day! Make sure to fit in time to eat and drink and relax… it’s very hard to make decisions when you’re tired, and dress shopping is very draining both physically and emotionally.

I did the same thing when my mom drove in from out of town. We hit three different stores and had a two hour gap between each appointment. It definitely goes faster after you’ve tried a few dresses on and know what style you’re looking for – in the first store you try on anything and everything, and after you learn what looks good on you, your search narrows at the next store.

I spent about 2-3 hours each time we went dress shopping (in one store).
