typically it’s 6-8 months…unless you are inviting people that need to make travel arrangements, i.e. flights and hotels.  You may want to let them know around 8-9 months before the wedding.

About 6 months. Ours are going out this week, our wedding is exactly six months from Thursday.

Funny I was just thinking the same thing!!  We aren’t getting married until Oct 2011, but I have no idea what the time frame is for when to send out the Save-The-Date Cards and when to send out the invitations?…

It depends on a lot of things. You might want to send them out a year ahead if you are having a destination wedding or if it is on a popular weekend (i.e. July 4th, Labor Day). Otherwise I think 6 to 8 is fine.

We sent ours out about 7 months beforehand and it seemed like a good time!
