My photographer has it in her contract that it could take up to 8 weeks to get our pictures back.  AHHHHH!!!  I’m dying.  I keep thinking she hasn’t sent me any sneak peeks because she can’t find any good shots.  I’m freaking myself out so bad.  I feel your waiting pain!

@Brideonabudgetlauren:  Im thinking the same thing about our engagement photos that we took two weeks ago…  all the “what-ifs”… What if it was too windy and there are no good shots?  What is my eyes were closed in half the photos?  What if he didnt get my “good” side? haha… definitely worries me!  I just want to see ONE!!!

@phoenixandstars:  Bummer!  I totally sympathize because I have been looking forward to using a wedding photo for our Christmas card.  If there are specific shots you wanted to frame for family members (e.g., family portraits), can you ask your photographer for those early?

In our wedding contract it states he has 8 weeks to show us the photos, then 8 weeks to edit and assemble an order to put them into a wedding album and then 8 week to get the album to us.

Yeah……… it’s going to be BRUTAL waiting that long.

We had engagement pictures with this photogrpaher in September (on the 30th) and I’m still waiting for those.

It’s in our contract that it could be up to 8 weeks; I know the wait will kill me but she does teasers, so at least I’ll have something to tide me over I guess!

Our photographer took 5 full months and did no special editing—so I feel your pain. I think she only sent the disc at that point because I kept bugging her about it, she was just lazy in my opinion. Seriously, with digital images there is no reason that it should take longer than 3 months to return images to a client.

Hopefully you will end up with images that are worth the wait! ๐Ÿ™‚ Hang in there!

Ours photographer took close to 3 months for the full digital gallery to be online. They send out disks only about once a month, so we’re still waiting for the disk.

OP- Would your family be ok with “IOUs?” I wanted to give everyone albums from Shutterfly or someplace similar- don’t think we’ll get them done in time, so they may get a “IOU one wedding photo albumn ‘gift certificate.'”

We got ours in less than a week… 3 or 4 days? But we’re good friends with our photogs and they’re awesome so I’m sure that’s not the norm.
