I have an appointment to get it done only 2 weeks before, along with the color.  My hair stylist always does a great job but sometimes kinda does her own thing as far as the trim goes.  I plan to ask her to just do an inch but I’m afraid she’ll cut more than that!  So I’d say to do it a month in advance, I’m even considering making a separate appointment to do this.  That way your hair is still healthy but its grown out a lil bit.

I will be trimming my hair about 2 weeks before my wedding.  I have short hair so I don’t want it to grow out too long right before!

I just got mine cut about a week ago (so 2.5 months before my wedding) and I wish we were farther out now.  I got an awful haircut with these really short layers that I hate and I’m just praying that it grows out enough before my wedding.  For anything other than just trimming off split ends, I’d say give yourself plenty of time to deal with mistakes, bad haircut/color, etc.

Edit: I just wanted to add that I had asked for the same cut I always get but that it was completely not what the stylist actually did (I wasn’t trying to do something different that I ended up not liking).

I color my own hair… and plan on doing that about 3 weeks before.  Then getting a haircut 2 weeks before.  I rarely get haircuts, and if I do it’s usually supercuts, but I treated myself a year ago to an expensive cut ($80) and she did such an amazing job I can’t imagine not shelling out the extra money to have her cut my hair again before the wedding!  Incidentally, I haven’t had a haircut since that cut a year ago(doh!) and it will be 2 more months before the pre-wedding cut.

I’m too nervous that I will get a bad cut, so I am foregoing it for now. My last trim was about 2 months ago and my wedding is in another 2 weeks. I don’t color.

Wedding is in 10 days, and I just got my final trim yesterday.  I don’t color my hair, and it’s just long and straight with no layers, and straight-across bangs.

I got my final trim/color 2 weeks before, since it seems like my hair needs to “grow into” new cuts, and looks best a few weeks after.

i got it trimmed a month before the wedding. i don’t color my hair, but if i did, i think i would probably do that about two weeks before the wedding, so that roots aren’t an issue.

My hair is short, so I get it trimmed every 4-6 weeks anyway. It’ll definitely be close to the wedding.
