    Started about a year before de wedding, lost 40 pounds by changing diet

    3 months before the wedding…basically when I picked up my dress that was ordered too small and was told by the seamstress that she couldn’t let out the bust or waist. i lost 6 pounds. And it was H A R D.

    Edit: i lost a LOT of inches everywhere though. I havn’t looked like this since my mid twenties;P

    I’m not really changing my eating habits, since I’m already pretty fit… BUT I have been working out more so that I can tone up my arms, butt, abs, etc. So I voted 5mos…

    Started about 6 mths prior- lost about 26 pounds.

     

    ( On the quiet- put it all back on within a year and a half- but now fighting to get it back off with good food and plain old exercize!)

    Started (at 150 lbs) 8-9 months before we got engaged, knowing that it was coming soon. I lost around 20 pounds in a year (which went into the beginning of our engagement). Since then, I’ve lost about 5 more. And sometime before the wedding (in 8-9 month) I’d love to lose 5 more to end up at 120. 

    My goal all along has been to make lifestyle changes that are sustainable long after the wedding is over 🙂

    We started in September for our March wedding.  I lost 15 lbs, Darling Husband lost 60.

    I’ve been working out even before I got engaged. However, after getting frustrated with not seeing results I want, I finally paid to see a personal trainer.  Started seeing her end of March(but didn’t work out for 2 weeks cause of death of my grandmaw and then was sick for a week).  I just did measurements yesterday and I’ve lost only 5 lbs since I started but I’m really seeing results in my arms and how my clothes fit. My arms look awesome right now and will continue to get better. Already lost 2.5 inches off my waist and dropped 2% bodyfat.  With wedding 4 months away I’m really excited about meeting my goals before then.

     

     

    I tried on my wedding dress today(it’s been in my closet since I bought it).  It was already a size too big(size 12 when a 10 would have fit me perfectly).  However dress is discontinued and all they had was 8(which was a lil snug) and a 12.  It was already big on me, but today it was huge at the top on me!!! And my back and arms looked awesome in it.  I plan on getting it taken in about 2 months before the wedding so not worried about it being too big.

    I started eating better (and by that I mean developing healthier eating habits – I never called it dieting) and exercising January 1, 2011, and by my April 2012 wedding, I had lost 80lbs.

    Didn’t vote- I started at the end of last summer and was doing well until right after Christmas. I went from working full time to going to school part time and didn’t take the schedule change very well.  I gained back all of the weight I had lost :(.  I am back dieting again, I started up last month and have taken off at least 5 lbs. (abt 3 1/2 months before my wedding!)  And I more dedicated this time around!

    I started changing my food and exercise habits around 10 months before my wedding. I started out with Weight Watchers and now I just count calories/macros and eat clean. I lost 35lbs and gained around 7lbs of muscle before my wedding.
