I started in February for my May 2016 wedding. I was doing really good and had lost 30lbs. I have not been good latetly I’ve gone back to eating anything and everything. I still have about 15 to 20 lbs I would like to loose and only 6 months to do it. I can’t seem to find my motivation again. 😔

Fiance and I are going to Maui for 2 weeks in January and I plan to really buckle down after that. I’d like to lose 10 lbs.

Wow, y’all are amazing… I don’t think I could handle the stress of a strict diet/exercise regime on top of the stress of wedding planning. Also my wedding is January and I don’t want to miss out on holiday food. My goal is to just not gain weight (or lose much) because I’ve gotten the dress altered already, and to keep up a moderate jogging routine (my goal in general anyway). I just try to be mindful of sweets or that second glass of beer.

I don’t have much time, so I will just “diet” until the day comes, LOL

We had a short engagement- 7 months!- so not a whole lot of time. I really only wanted to loose about 10 pounds and tone my arms and ahoulders. I amped up my working out right away, but right after the holidays with 4 months to go I really kicked it up. Double kickboxing classes, hot yoga and running. A month before I cut out all alcohol and ate a lot of salad. I ended up hitting my goal and looked pretty good if I say so myself. Now I’m pregnant and packing on the pounds and I miss my prewedding workouts/wedding body 🙁

We had a short engagement, only 4 months, so I got after it the entire time. We went on a beach honeymoon right after, so I had double motivation. Going into the wedding, I felt pretty confident, but I just got my wedding pictures back and really could’ve toned up my arms more and dropped another 10 pounds.
I did find that nothing will motivate you more fitness wise than the wedding. Working out was a great stress reliever amongst all the planning, too. I’d give yourself at least 6 months, and in that time, it might become habit! Just don’t drop any weight after your final dress fitting!
