One month and three weeks, as soon as I stopped bawling I drilled him for all the details. He ordered it the day after Christmas and paid for a rush order so he could have it for our anniversary on January 4 but it didn’t come until the 5th so he just held on to it waiting for a weekend were he could just spring a date night on me and propose but I kept making plans to hang out with my friends every weekend lol so he didn’t get a chance to propose until Valentine’s Day.

Less than a week. The ring was purchased on a Saturday, picked up on Monday. He asked for my dad’s blessing the day he got it from our jeweler and proposed on a Thursday. I knew when he ordered it since I was there and we used my grandmother’s diamond that she gave me. I knew he went up to speak with my parents but I thought for sure he’d wait a while before actually proposing. You could have hit me with thebroad side of a barn I was so stunned and surprised.

He had it for 6 days before proposing; he bought it two days before we went on holiday and then he proposed on the 4th day there.

2-3 hours. Picked it up Black Friday around 1 and than proposed at dinner that night. Burning a hole in his pocket! And he is very last minute with things.

My Boyfriend or Best Friend has had the ring since March 2011. I don’t know what the hold up is or why it’s taking him so long. We live together and are closing on a house next week so it’s not a committment issue. All he has told me is that he has something in mind and the right opportunity has not presented itself.

About 3 weeks. We had picked th ring out together and he put money down on it to hold it and was told he had 6 months to pay it off(he already had all the money to pay for it, just didn’t want to buy it right then and there with me with him). Little did I know that he went back the next day and paid balance and picked ring up a few days later(stone had to be set in ring). So it was inside our house for a few weeks before he proposed.

Mr. C kept my ring in his apartment for three months. I knew that it was there, but I didn’t know where. It was so hard not to go searching for it because it was a surprise ring. Then, one night when he was at work, the box was suddenly on the floor where I was doing my homework. It was so hard not to look, especially once I picked it up and just stared at it for awhile.

Actually, 0 second? It was a surprise proposal for both of us since he didn’t know that it will take 6 weeks to get my size. While I went to the bath room, he was paying for the ring and ask them to bring it on a tray with box of Godiva chocolate.

I’m actually not sure…but I know it was less than a week and he saved it for our trip…so he might have asked sooner if we were not going out of town.

Darling Husband had the ring a couple of weeks. I was actually visiting my parents back home for the holidays when he bought it. He said I was always around so he couldn’t do it sooner. I met him in his hometown to hang out with his family. He proposed our last night there…he says he wished he would have done it sooner so his family could’ve celebrated with us.

I can’t say exactly, but I know he bought it the same day he proposed. He couldn’t wait once he had it 🙂

It arrived on my birthday 5/24. I had a helluva good birthday that year (sushi, bar hopping, salsa dancing!). He thought of proposing that night but the night was so good already he wanted to space out the excitedness!
He decided to wait until that Saturday 5/28 when we were out skiing as it would be so fitting for “us.”
