We started trying about 6 months after our 2nd wedding anniversary.  It took 2 cycles and I was 7 weeks pregnant on our 3rd anniversary.

First time, complete accident.  I was on BC but didn’t take it as well as I should have.  Second time, I decided I wanted another baby, told my fiance, and was pregnant 2 weeks later.  I’m a fertile freak.

There are so many factors…

We married in March 2013. The only reason we didn’t start trying then (or slightly before then) was that he wanted to be certain we were moving into a house. We started trying in June, as I told him we’d have 9 more months to prepare/move to a bigger apartment or house. We ended up moving into our house in July.

…10 cycles in and still trying, so I’m probably not the uplifting story you may have been hoping for. In our case, I think we have male factor infertility going on.

But, by the time we married, we had also:

lived together for 2 years by the time we married

He had a great job; mine was meh, but not necessary for us

Both of us were finished with our educations

We ranged in age from mid-20s to early 30s

Relationship was going really well.

We were in the midst of a house hunt, which we could afford

We had no insurmountable debt; I have student debt, but it’s manageable.

House and student loans will be paid off in 10 – 20 years

So, for us, there wasn’t much in the way of emotional or financial aspects in the way, thankfully. We’ve been very lucky on that front.

Now, if only we could get lucky with our reproductive organs…sigh.

We started trying three years after our wedding, even though we both were on board to wait 5. When we decided to start trying a little earlier than planned, it happened the first month. Even though we’re young (26) and healthy, we didn’t think it would happen so quickly.

We originally want to wait a year after the wedding. But one time we forget to “pull out” and there goes a baby inside me hahaha, 7months after wedding.

But really it’s so cute when you see the baby moving.. =)

We started trying long before we were technically engaged. It took us around a year to get pregnant, I think. Our lil man just turned 10 months old today!

I felt that it would take me a long time to conceive given my history with a bad pregnancy. That was unplanned. Though never tried afterwards. However, we were able to do it on the first try. Though mind you, I did prepare myself naturally very well before this try. And I feel my prep work is what got me pregnant so fast. (I had made a post abt it.)
