I think it took my gown about 7 months to get in……ordered July 2008 and it came in around January/February 2009.  Luckily our wedding was not until November of 2009.

Most gowns should not take more than 4 months. The holidays do cause shipping delays though, and I know MS does not take orders in December because they don’t work during the holidays. Have you called your bridal salon to ask if they have a ship date? The day they place the order they get  a date that it should come in. I’ve also heard about salons not calling when it comes in, maybe you could check with them?

My dress is due to come in any day, so I’m starting to freak too!

I ordered in mid-June and was told it would arrive in about 6 months (mid-December).  It actually came in 5 months.  The salon I ordered it from actually doesn’t notify that your dress comes in until they have the chance to get it out of the box and steam it so it isn’t a wrinkled mess.  It probably came in closer to 4 months in that case.

PPs are right that most of December is down time in the wedding gown industry, apparently many of the factories close for the best part of a month. I’d give the store a call to check on the status if I were you.

I ordered mid July and they said it won’t be in until March!
