I’ll be ordering my dress at the end of October, so 7 1/2 months before my wedding. I’m a little nervous that it won’t be enough time… will it? How long did it take for your order to arrive and how long did the alterations process take?

It took about 6 months for my dress to come in. Haven’t had alterations yet (too soon).

I got a Maggie Sottero, and it took a little over seven months. The alterations took about three weeks.

Hm… so I’m cutting it close.. anyone else?

Do keep in mind that most designers will let you do a rush order for an extra fee.

I walked into DB and walked out with a dress. I think it really depends on the designer. I’ve seen so many different answers on this board, 4 months up to a year depending on where it was ordered from. I would think as soon as you can order it you’d want to.

I haven’t got mine yet, but it is supposed to take 5 to 5.5 months.

Ordered my dress in late May and it just came in last week so in total about five months. I haven’t had any alterations yet but was advised to wait until after the holidays (for obvious reasons of course).

6 months…not including the time for alterations

@galloway111: Less than a week LOL. But I’ve been told my case is very, very, rare. I just happened to pick the right dress style in the right size.

Totally depends on the designer, really. Some have much longer lead times than others. I was being quoted 8-9 months for Maggie Sottero, and my Alfred Angelo came in (the first time) in 12 weeks just like they said. I’m expecting to see my dress for real in December after waiting another 12 weeks for them to order the correct color, size, and length. Insert eyeroll.

Mine was a Maggie Sottero and they told me 5 months, but it came in about 3 months.
