I am a “newbee” with a ring but not a ring on my finger. (Insert my sad, puppydog face I used with my dad as a kid) He’s had it for a month and is planning a “surprise, something special” – so he says. Surprise, schmise! I am expecting it and waiting for it every time we go some place or make plans for a vacation. It’s a little bit exhausting! How long did it take for your BF/FI to propose once he had the ring? I’m dying here!

11 months for me!!! i could have died!

One month after he picked up the ring. I knew he was nervous about how he was going to propose because of the “you know, he knows, you know” thing. And when he did propose I don’t exactly remember what he said because I was so excited. Whoops. :0

I was SUPER lucky and he proposed the day after he picked up the ring (that he had ordered about 2 weeks prior)!

he had mine for 4 days and i know it drove him insane 🙂

A couple of months- he wanted to wait for our vacation, and I am so glad he did 🙂

Found the ring before Easter. Not sure how long he had it before that, but I think January or February.
Proposal: June 28.
Amount of drama that could have been avoided if he’d given it soon after buying it: roughly 5 metric tons.

He proposed 3 days after he got the ring! He picked it up on a Thursday, and proposed on Sunday (valentine’s day)

Wow @ the other bees who waited months for their proposals! I think I waited about a month, and that was only because FI had to travel up north with me to visit my parents and “ask their permission” in person. <3

He had it for almost three months! Poor guy, I had multiple “you’re never going to propose to me!” breakdowns and he had it in his dorm room the whole time haha

I think DH had it for about 6 weeks – but he planned to propose on my birthday, hence the wait. I didn’t know he had it, so it didn’t send me crazy 🙂 But later when my friends and I found out he’d had it for that long we couldn’t believe it! He’d kept it in the safe at work so there was no way I could find it 🙂

No joke, I’m not kidding. He went shopping after he got off work at 2, bought the ring, and proposed before dinner that night. It wasn’t a fancy proposal because he was too impatient!
I think it’s adorable though.

Well I am in the same situation you are, so I can’t tell you how long it’s actually gonna take YET hehe… but my guess is that our guys have a moment in mind when they want to propose and they are just waiting for that special time.
It’s frustrating to us now, but I am really trying to focus on how much having the ring is driving HIM nuts, and also remembering to let him know how much I love him and would wait for him forever. That way, when he does propose, I don’t feel bad about whining about not being engaged!!

The next evening! And I didn’t know that he had bought one.
