I wish more people were posting on this thread, I’d love to see more responses. I’m 30 and will be close to 31 the earliest we start trying, and I definitely wonder how long it will take and if it will take us longer due to age etc… We all spend so much time avoiding getting pregnant in your teens/20s, you always figure it’ll be so easy but its not!

I got pregnant on the third month. I was on the patch for a good 8 years and my body went through serious withdrawls once I stopped. My first cycle was 42 days and second cycle was 37.

1st try? It was the one and only time we forgot to use protection.

@MsJ2theZ:  I’m in the same boat. I swear everyday I see another article telling me how I’ll never conceive.

@buggaboo6:  I didn’t vote because I’m not pg yet, but we’re on Cycle #13 and still waiting for a BFP.  I’m 26, Darling Husband is 30, we have no known issues, and I ovulate very regularly. I’ve never been on bc, so I can’t help you there.  Good luck!

@2PeasinaPod:  Makes me tear up when I see your posts!  I cannot even imagine…

@MsJ2theZ: So true…sometimes I think all my prayers to not be pregnant when I was in HS and college are still backlogged!

I started trying around 27 with my ex-H, no pregnancies and unexplained infertility….I’m 36 now and newly remarried and we’ve been actively trying since I went off the pill after our wedding.  I only took it b/c AF was expected to make her debut on our day.  So technically over 9 years that I’ve been off of BCPs and still no pregnancies.  Maybe this month???  J/K, I don’t like to get my hopes up!!!!

13 months, with a miscarriage around 10 months. Both healthy, I was charting, using OPKs, ovulating like clockwork, so I don’t know what the problem was (we were just starting to talk about getting tested when we got pregnant this time).

It took 5 months. We were both 23 when we started to TTC. I was on the pill for about 6 years.

I got pregnant the moment I decided I want to have kids with Fi… Seriously, I had an epiphany during sex and realized that contrary to my former beliefs, Fi made me want to have kids! I swear I got pregnant that very moment! lol….

    Wellll…we weren’t technically “trying” per say…

I was charting as a means of birthcontrol. We planned on “trying” to get pregnant a few months later…but we weren’t exactly being 100% careful on my fertile days.

There were one or two months where we “slipped up” very close to ovulation but I didn’t get pregnant.

Then, one month I ovulated 4 days earlier than normal ..but we had sex unprotected only once, 5 days before ovulation occured…so I was totally shocked when I got a positive test!!

So although we weren’t trying, there were a few months that we really should have gotten pregnant that we didn’t!

    Good luck!

@Lindsay05:  Not pregnant or trying but I’ve been on the patch for 11 years and it’ll be another 2-3 years before we start TTC. I’ve always gotten ovarian cysts. I’m nervous my body will rebel after that long on the patch/ birth control. Glad it ending up working out for you so quickly!
