It took a good month or so for it to feel like a second skin / for me not to be constantly aware that I was wearing a ring (I too had never worn rings before).

But as for ogling at its sparkliness all the time? Lol it’s been over 3 years and I’m still not over that. 😝

2018pai :  I’m not going to be any help, because I’m an “old married lady” (19 years this past October), and I still stare at my jewelry. It’s the magpie in me — LOL.

As for wearing the ring all the time, that didn’t take any adjustment time for me. I was a jewelry wearer before I got engaged.

Congratulations on your engagement!

2018pai :  I didn’t wanna take off my ring for the first couple of days LOL! I’m right handed but all of a sudden I found myself using for my left hand more. I always wore rings but never on my ring finger so it wasn’t so much as getting used to wearing a ring but getting used to wearing a ring on THAT finger.

It’s been almost 6 yrs since I got engaged and I still stare at my rings!!

After 2-3 months I think I got used to it. I still admire it and look at it sparkle but not nearly as much as I did during the 1st 3 months of my engagement.

I’ve been staring at it for 6 months, got married and stared even more at my band. Lol driving suddenly becomes dangerous when the sun hits it just right and you just can’t look away…

As far as comfort goes, I’m still not really used to my ring, although it sits pretty high up off my finger which is probably the reason. I got a low profile band I wear when I’m home or doing chores or at the dog park. I’m left handed and also not really a jewelery person so I always knew I’d only wear my engagement ring when I wasn’t doing anything super active.

I’ve had my ring on for one year and one month and I am still completely obsessed with it. I don’t think it ever goes away.

Been engaged just about a year now and I still spend a lot of time admiring it!  Doubt it will go away.

I’ve also never worn a ring before and find myself staring at it, but I immediately missed it when I took it to get resized, and that was just for a few hours lol. I left it at FIs house Tuesday since we worked out, and missed wearing a ring, so I picked up a silicone one from the stone lol. Yeah, I may be a little attached to it and we’ve only been engaged since Christmas Eve.

I can’t do it. I love rings but they’re not compatible with my life- even just wearing a band hurts when the dog leash pulls squishing my fingers together. And I clean all the time so ring might get damaged. I don’t know how to fix this life problem lol so the *magic* hasn’t entrapped me yet. Ring sits on my dresser.
