I plan on BF and after a while I’d like to start building a small stash for times when I may not be around the baby. How long did it take you to get a small stash going? It seems like it could be difficult if your needing to feed the baby every few hours, how do you find the time/milk supply to get extra milk?

Its different for every mom. Some women can pump like champions! They can feed baby and then pump 6 or more ozs. Then some women can barely pump 2ozs. I guess it depends on your body. Having a GOOD quality pump makes all the difference too.
My LO was born 8 weeks early and because of complications, I decided to feed him expressed milk from bottles. I was able to pump for him for almost 3 months. I had a double electric, hospital grade pump. In the beginning, I pumped like a champ. But, when we brought baby home from the hospital, I found it harder to find time to pump as much as I should have and I saw drastic changes.
My advice would be to pump whenever you get a chance. The more you feed/pump, the more your body will produce.
