If the photog had them back in a day, it wouldn’t be because they rock, it’d be because they didn’t post process, which is actually pretty scary πŸ˜‰

I think ours were back within about 5 weeks!

I voted 9-12 months, because it took 10 months to get our album. But, there were other stages first. She put about a dozen pics up on her blog within a week. We saw all the pics and got copies on disc after a few months I think. Then it took me a while to choose 60-odd to go in the album, and then another while to get the album.

We got two pictures as a sneak peek a few days after but I think it was about 7 weeks before we got the whole shebang

So you already know I got mine back, but that is exceptional. It will really depend on the photographer, but in general, I think 4-8 weeks is fine. After that, I’d give a polite call. It’s going to depend on how busy your photographer is and if he/she edits the images or is part of a team in which a photo editor does it, or if your photographer is a professional or has another job, etc.

@AmeliaBedelia:  I know I’m going to be just as impatient. Luckily, I think we’re supposed to get ours back in a month, and we’ll mostly be gone on our honeymoon during that time. That should keep my mind off it.

Took 3 and 1/2 agonizing months!  But, we knew it would take longer as wedding photography isn’t the money-maker for him, more of a professional hobby.  The end product was worth the wait, though, because we not only got quality product, we got quanity as well!  He usually gives out 200-250 pics, and we got 435! (he had a 2nd shooter with him, so that might have boosted them a bit).

FIs cousin is professional photographer, so we went right over after we took the pictures and he let us go through them and use his software to make any changes. Fiance used to do some editing for him, so we figured we could make any changes ourselves. I loved them the way they were and it was so great to have them right away even if they weren’t all touched up yet.
