My Fiance and I originally planned on TTC starting late spring 2016, but we have since decided we want to start sooner (Dec 2015-Jan 2016ish).
How long did it take everyone to get pregnant? Aside from conventional stuff (fertility monitor, taking prenatals etc) is there any unusual things you used to aid in getting pregnant?
I KNOW everyone is different…I’m just curious.

Got my first BFP on our 4th cycle, ended in a MC. Waited a cylce and then tried again. Got pregnant on the third cycle trying again – DD is now 14 months. Got 1 post partum period and got a BFP, which ended in a MMC. Am now in the waiting cylce and then will try again.
ETA: I did OPK’s and charted my temperature.

15 months. Really, the only things that are going to get you pregnant are good eggs, good sperm, and having sex at the right time so they meet. Fertility apps, and OPKS, and temping will help you to know your cycle better, and might help you get pregnant sooner, but there’s tons of people they don’t help too.
Also, FYI prenatals have nothing to do with getting pregnant, they just give you extra folic acid to help prevent neurual tube defects if you DO get pregnant.

I stopped taking BC in Octoberish (2014), we BOTH started taking folic acid, I started taking prenatals and we started trying on our honeymoon over New Years. After a few months unsuccessful, we decided to try Pre-Seed (google is your friend) and that seemed to do the trick! We conceived in April and are expecting a boy near Christmas 🙂

Cycle #11, exactly a year trying. I was temping and did opks to know my cycle better, but I think we were one of those couples that just took a little longer. Nothing wrong with either of us as far as we know.

With my first, 2 years. With my second, 1 year.

We got our BFP our second month so it only took 2 cycles – way less than we expected. I didn’t temp, but used the Fertility Friend app to keep track of my periods and CM. I’m currently 10.5 weeks 🙂 Our first cycle we BD ED during my FW and got a BFN, but the second cycle we BD EOD during my FW and got our BFP. Not sure if it made a difference, but figured I’d mention it anyways.

Got pregnant on our first cycle trying but it ended in an early miscarriage. Got pregnant again our second cycle after the MC and I’m currently 6 weeks pregnant and crossing my fingers everything goes well.
I stopped BC 2 years before we started trying, in order to give my period a chance to get back to normal as well as be able to chart/temp for a while. My cycle was erratic for the 1st year off BC and then went back to normal (30-32 days long, ovulating on CD 18-CD20). I’m 26 and have no known medical concerns or red flags but I wanted to really know my body before TTC.
I continued charted/temping but added OPKs when we started TTC. BD on the 3 days before O, legs in the air for 30 minutes after and ate some pineapple in 5 days after O.

I got pregnant in cycle 5 and lost that one to MC at 8 weeks, I had a couple more chemicals over the next year, one in early May, then got pregnant the very next cycle. My son is 7 months old. I got pregnant again 2 months after my son was born and am 23w pregnant with son #2 due in January. Good luck!

Got pregnant the first time on our 6th cycle- that ended in MC. Then took another 4 cycles to get pregnant again.

I got pregnant the first month I stopped BC (both times) very lucky I know! I don’t chart, I just use an app on my phone which predicts fertile days and made sure we BD during those days. Good luck with ttc!

The first pregnancy took us 3 months (got the BFP after adding in Pre-Seed that cycle) but I MC’d in week 5. The second pregnancy took us 3 months after the first loss but that was a CP. I’m currently on the 3rd cycle since the second loss and still trying.

Our stories are so similar!
It took us 3 months/cycles to get our first BFP which ended at 5 weeks exactly. Took another 5 months for second BFP but was a CP. This is our first month trying after CP.

After 4 cycles NTNP + 6 cycles actively trying, I had a CP. Hoping for my rainbow on this first cycle post CP! NTNP began in January.
