I got pregnant our first cycle trying.  We’re both 28, and I had been off the pill and charting my cycles for a year before we started TTC.

I am very envious of you extremely fertile ladies! I am 25 and Darling Husband is 31, we have been trying for 11 months with no success.

We are both 27. Was on BCP for 13 years. Got off almost 16 months ago. We have been trying, both NTNP and active TTC since the time I got off the Pill. No luck yet. Both active and healthy (other than PCOS). I guess some people it just takes longer.

Kld37:  I had a false negative in July, and came off BC then and used barrier methods, we started NTNT in September and got a BFP straight away. I’d cycled regularly straight after I came off BC which was a real shock, because I’d been on that pill for 5 years!

amanda3334455:  3 months is really not that long, so don’t worry. I don’t even think doctors are concerned unless you get to one year. I didn’t get pregnant until month 7 or 8, and oddly enough it was the month I thought that there was no way it could have happened.

I’m 29, it happened the first time we tried. I feel very blessed. Don’t be discouraged if it takes a while.

I’m 30.  I got off bcp (10+ years of using bcp, I might add) mid-August; and, got a BFP mid-October.  So, it happened on the second cycle.  I only started charting my cycle in August and use some opk.

We are both 28, healthy, and have been off BCP since September 2013.  We are now beginning infertility testing as we have had no luck.

There are plenty of couple who take upwards of a year to conceive.  Its completely normal. That is why doctors ask that you try for a year before seeking help. Because often nothing is wrong, the stars just haven’t aligned.

Everyone is different. I got pregnant immediately with both my kids (all those years, birth control really was important!). But my brother and sister in law took 12 months of active trying and they are much younger than me. The average is 12 months, or so I have. Heard from friends who had to seek intervention.

I am 22 and my husband is 33. We conceived on our first cycle, and I had the non-hormonal IUD removed the month prior.

We tried for 8 months before getting KU but miscarried. We then tried another 6 months and with intervention got pregnant and miscarried again. This time, I accidentally got pregnant on a slip up as we were going to wait a few cycles!! Go figure!!! Hopefully it sticks this time. It really does go to show you how random it is!!
