I think a month or so for it not to feel weird, and a year down the line im still pretty paranoid about making sure im looking after it right!

It’s been almost 2 months since I got mine and I don’t notice it on my hand as much anymore but I do still think about it a lot anyway haha! I still have moments when I can’t quite believe that it’s there!

I would say a month or so to get used to it, and then around 4 months when it was off, it would feel weird. I do still take mine off when I sleep after a bad scratching incident!

I never really wore rings before getting engaged (always thought they looked weird on my fingers even though I always loved other types of jewelry). I think it took me a good month to get used to the sensation of the ring on my hand, but at least twice that time to stop scratching it against things and banging it against walls or doorways (I know, I’m super clumsy 🤣). Give it time. You don’t have to wear it everyday at first. It will become second nature eventually.

desifreckle :  Probably a few weeks. Never wore anything so it was weird to wear a ring all the time. Felt weird when I added my wedding ring too.

desifreckle :  I’ve always worn jewelry but it took at least a month to feel like it was “mine” and belonged on my finger.

I never wore rings before and I only wear them out of the house. When I get home the rings come off because I still prefer not to wear jewellery. So I guess I never got “used” to it to the point of it feeling weird when I wasn’t wearing them.

Is say it depends on the ring. I needed to “get over” the fact that there was my very own diamond blinging and sparkling on my finger but the ring itself “disappeared” within days. A plain solitaire. And then I added my wedding band and I got never used to that. Boy I couldn’t get over it’s presence and annoyance but it was soooo damn pretty! After a year I bit the bullet and had it reset. And it was perfect. It took me a couple of hours and then it was part of me!

But in general after 1.5 years I can’t even imagine not wearing my rings on my left finger. I had them cleaned and those were agonizing 15 min 😂

A few weeks, I think. It was big so until I had it sized down, it felt a little pokey.

I got engaged at the end of March and I’d say maybe a week or so ago I started to forget I’m wearing it most of the time

Immediately I got used to it buuuutttt I lost some weight in the meantime, around 5 kilos (11 lbs I think) and my rings are freaken loose right now. I recognize it like all the time. 🙁 the perks of having big knuckles…
