My husband…. 3 weeks. Lost it yesterday when we went on a river tubing trip.
The worst part, is it’s my fault! He wanted to leave it at home and I told him the water was really flat and calm, so why not wear it?

@Miss Grey: my girlfriends hubby lost his tubing too 🙁

Three months! That’s why we bought him one from ebay for $13. Thank God for tungsten :).

Lose it or stop wearing it? A few months before we got divorced I found it in his drawer and decided to put it in my jewelry box to see how long it took for him to tell me it was lost. He never did.

It wasn’t his wedding ring, but I bought my fiancé a ring for his birthday in 2010 and he lost it when we went swimming in the river the next month. Men’s rings are definitely harder to hold on to for some reason.

DH hasn’t lost his ring, but, then again, he is much less accident prone than me.

Near miss 2 weeks ago at the lake. We were at a floating dock in the middle of the lake and it flew off his hand and rolled across the platform. His sister reached down and quietly caught it and made eye contact with me. He didn’t notice and FREAKED OUT. We let him squirm for a minute before we told him she had it. He left it on the boat after that. Sheesh.
Then the next day we were out on the lake and I was putting on sunscreen and put mine on top of a towel we had bungeed to the cargo hold in the middle of the kayak. I promptly forgot to put them on and we went across the lake and back with THE DOG on top of the towel on the cargo hold. They were still there tucked in the corner of he towel when we got back, and he couldnt be mad at me because he’d already pulled the boner move the day before, so I got a freebee on that one.

Within a month. Bye bye custom ordered band. In 12 years he has lost two, and owned 5 total.

We got married October 30th and it was gone by the following April.

Not so far! Hoping never, but it hasn’t been even a year yet so time will tell

My DH’s ring was stolen just a little over a month after our wedding. Since it just happened we are still in the process of replacing it.

DH almost lost his tubing 6 months after the wedding and then he actually lost it 4 months after that in the ocean. We bought a new one and he was able to hold on to it for a total of 3 months after that. So now he is rocking an ebay special..lol

I think the lesson learned here, is that water sports are dangerous territory for men’s rings! We ordered him a new ring this morning.
Goodbye 14k gold, hellooooooo Tungsten! (thanks @jo.lee)
