We had an eight hour package that was really 9+ hours. I based my timeline on my photographer’s suggestions and realized the week before that it was actually 9 hours from the time she was to arrive for getting ready shots and the grand exit. Above that we had plans to whiz from the exit down the street to the bay for sunset pictures, so I knew it’d be overtime. She actually said the extra hour was free and the sunset pictures wouldn’t take longer than whatever break she took to eat, so that was “included”.
I think it really depends on what you want covered. Between family pictures, bridal party portraits, our portraits, plus dances and speeches and crap I feel like we barely had time for them to get any candids at the reception. Thankfully we had a second shooter.
