Dated a little over two years before we got engaged in September. We will be married a little after three years of being together.

Just under 7 years when he proposed. It will be 8 years before the wedding. We started dating at 15 and wanted to finish out college before getting married.
2 years but we met in our 30s. Most of my friends who met in their 30s seemed to have shorter dating times like myself, because lets face it, there’s not as much time to mess around.
londonbeeee : I get what you’re saying, but the truth is you never know for sure if you really know someone. Plus, people change. Getting married is always a leap of faith, although I do agree that the longer you date, the less the risk of surprises.
We moved in together after 5 months and got engaged after 10. We’re getting married in August 🎉
Dated for 5 Years, were engaged for two.
4.5 years. We met when I was only 20 years old, though.
11-months
Just about 3.5 years, lived together for 3.
7 years, started dating at 20 and 21 so pretty young. Had to finish up three degrees, live overseas, and have a few years work experience before really “settling down”.
We dated for 3.5 years before he proposed. When we met I was 21 and he was 27. When he proposed I was 25 and he was 31. We’re getting married this May (on the exact day he proposed the year prior), so by the time we say “I do” we’ll have been together 4.5 years.
Dated for 2.5 years before getting engaged (both at 23) 🙂
Didn’t really ‘date’ at all. Moved in and married after about 3 months , maybe less
Yes, I know , but amazingly enough we are still together and it’s been yonks .I’d been married before but he hadn’t.
