Waiting when it’s coming up soon can be hard! My ring is in the house, and we’re just waiting to visit my parents next month so my SO can ask my father for his blessing. So hopefully around a month from now we’ll be engaged…but it’s a long wait!! Good luck with your own waiting 🙂

whatsinaname15:  He had mine made (it’s a Verragio remake) and I think it took about 5-6 weeks to be made. He got it just in time for our three year anniversary when he asked, so he only had it a week or two after he got it. Here’s my sparkly!

whatsinaname15:  About 4 months. We picked it out when he came home from his training and I finally got my ring the day he was leaving for his deployment. It was a long 4 months

about 3 weeks, we sent my brother overseas to go and pick it up, it arrived back here 7th December 13, he waited until his birthday on the 18th to propose thinking I would think he wouldnt do it on that day, but that’s exactly what I thought he’d do!

Fiance and I went looking in the middle of October, and he proposed on Christmas Eve. We live together, so he was trying to be sneaky about going to a jeweler once I had shown him styles I liked, so I think it took him a little longer than he intended (about 2 months from first contact until proposal). He told me once he had met with the jeweler to confirm details (the second meeting), he received a CAD of the design in 10 days and had the ring in his possession 2 weeks later. He had the ring in the apartment for 2 weeks, waiting to propose 🙂

whatsinaname15:  Argh, yes! We looked at rings at the end of Jan, beginning of Feb, ordered one to be made, which he picked up about 3 weeks later. He’s had the ring for 3 or 4 weeks now, so it’s been about 2 months since we picked the ring and I have no idea when he’s going to propose as he wants it to be special and a surprise, bless him. I have a feeling he’s going to do it when we’re on holiday in a month’s time…

whatsinaname15: About  two and a half months.  We went ring shopping right after Thanksgiving and I was proposed to the following Valentine’s day 🙂

We picked out the ring Jan 10 (he purchased it that day) and he picked it up about 2.5 weeks ago. I’m about to burst with excitement. Patience is a virtue for a reason…and I’m struggling with that particular virtue!

We were technically already engaged, but no one knew because I wanted to wait until I had my ring. So after a couple weeks of looking we finally found one we both loved on a Monday. It was ready to be picked up on Thursday and he got down on one knee that night. Even though I knew it was happening I still ugly cried.

9 long months lol! But, he did purchase the ring after we’d only been dating for 8 months. I thought he was going to propose on our 1 year anniversary, but he didn’t (You can imagine how disappointed I was after getting dressed up for our dinner and no proposal lol). He later told me he planned to propose during our trip to Costa Rica which was planned for December (11 months after he bought the ring), but he said he thought it would be too predictable. So he proposed in October, a few days before my birthday and it was a big production and a huge surprise.

whatsinaname15:  We picked in the beginning of April last year, it arrived mid April, and I had to wait five long days until Easter until he proposed.  I thought those were the longest days of my life (obviously not).  and this is what I wear when it’s not being repaired.

SO and I have decided on some ring options. He is planning to purchase it around the end of next month, so we will see how long I wait!
