more than 4 hours... omg that's a long time

    3-4 hours

    2-3 hours

    1-2 hours

    under 1 hour

    didn't take any...

we took all the photos BEFORE (this would mean no photos between ceremony & reception)

We stopped for just under an hour between ceremony and reception, and according to our photographer that was leisurely compared to the time crunch he’s usually under.

We are planning to take as many photos as possible before the ceremony-though we are not going to see each other before it.  So we’ll take all the imedate faimly and lades/guy photos as possible.

Then we’re planning on about an hour during coctails for the full on photo stuff.  Hopefully it will be enough.

We were at a wedding last fall where there was 3 hours between the ceremony ending and cocktail hour starting!!  It was insainly long and hard for us as were traveled a little bit to get to the wedding-but not far enough that we rented a hotel room.  So we sat around the victorian house watching the wait staff get dressed and around for the event :/

@gregsgirl: My wedding is supposed to have a 3 hour gap between ceremony and reception because the church can only get us in an afternoon ceremony. Your comment scares me! :-/ I’ve been thinking about the time gap a ton lately.

Our ceremony and reception were in the same place and we took all our post ceremony photos there (at the lake). We took photos for a little over an hour including family and bridal party. Almost an hour and a half.

Oh I guess I should have added that we stayed behind at the church for nearly an hour for portraits.  I guess I didn’t count that because it was the “same site” as the ceremony.

I’ll amend my vote, but it was an hour for family portraits plus an hour for fun ones at the off-site.

Thank-you for posting! My ceremony and reception is in the same spot and we alloted just over an hour for photos and weren’t sure if it was enough. We won’t have an hour and a half, but hour and 15 or so definitely.

We did all our photos beforehand, but we did about 2 hours of portraits just us (we went to a different site for that) then did family portraits for maybe 20-30 mins. We didn’t have a bridal party, so that didn’t take up any time.
