We waited a year and a half! We dated 4 years before that, too.

We waited until after our 2nd wedding anniversary.  I was glad to have just over a couple years to adjust to married life and I think that time together is really wonderful and important.

We got married in September and pulled the goalie in November.

Ideally we’ll be waiting at least 2 years, maybe 2 and a half before starting TTC.  I dream about it all the time though and get excited but know I need to cool it and enjoy our time alone as newlyweds for now. 🙂 Maybe start mid to late 2014 or early 2015.  We’ve been together for 7 years but want to be a few years older before being parents.

Originally I thought we’d wait at least a year or two but I’m starting to think about sooner…

We are waiting until ~2 years after our wedding day to TTC.  At that point we will be debt free except for our mortage, and I will have a “kid safe” car, and Darling Husband will make enough that we can live solely on his income.

@MrsFairyBee:  How old are you guys? Our timeline is almost identical, and that will put me at 25 & Darling Husband at 28 when we are ready to start.

We’re getting married in April and PLAN to try after a year or so. But… plans change, so who knows!

We were hoping to have a little souvenir from our honeymoond. Even planned the wedding around my cycle (which is very difficult to do from a year out).

But… since we hadn’t done much research (just though having lotsa sex would do the trick), no luck. This is our first new cycle after the wedding and we are getting serious with ovulation strips and basal thermometers and charts and stuff.

We waited a week. Lol. But we want the baby to be as close in age to his daughter, so we waited until right after we got married because we both wanted to be married for this baby (and for our daughter).

We waited not at all, but we’re older. I’m 34.

We didn’t.  We both thought it would take a lot longer than it did, so we started trying the week BEFORE the wedding.  My last pack of pills ran out just before the wedding, and it turned out I would be ovulating the week before the wedding.  I am older (32 when we conceived), so we didn’t want to wait.

We didn’t wait either!  We pulled the goalie the month before the wedding, because of course EVERYONE knows it never, ever works the first time.  Welllllll…. I was 7 weeks pregnant at the wedding!  We did have a 2 year engagement, and I’m over 30, so we weren’t interested in twiddling our thumbs for long.
