How long did you wait for him to propose once the ring was in hand?

Why is he waiting?

to answer your question I didn’t wait for him to propose.  We decided we wanted to marry each other. Had fun diamond researching as we both liked the idea of having a ring to make it ‘official’ (and, hello! Diamonds!).

So he proposed the same day the ring came back from being cleaned and resized (it was from an antique jeweller). And then we told everyone our happy news.

My fiancé waited three months after he received the ring to propose.  Looking back, I’m surprised it was that short… it felt more like six months!  The reasoning for the delay was his proposal plan.  The way he wanted to do it involved it being at a very specific time on a very specific day, so there wasn’t much anyone could do to speed things along.  While I was waiting, a lot of people said the same thing, that they couldn’t understand why someone would wait at all once they got the ring, but good reasons for it really do exist! Lol

I didn’t have to wait because as he proposed the day he got the ring cause he couldn’t wait, but I’d have waited 3 months before saying something.

I waited a year lol. We weren’t planning on ring shopping (long story short, we were at an antique store and I fell in love with one, so he swooped it up). he decided he wanted to propose on Halloween (my favorite holiday) but he would have had to propose shortly after getting the ring, and we weren’t really in a rush to get engaged/married. at that point we had only been dating for a year and a half and I was still young-ish, so he held off, which I didn’t mind.

4 months from when he picked it up from the jeweler. He put a ton of pressure on himself to make the moment perfect, which stressed him out and delayed the proposal. But, the proposal was the best and so us! I wouldn’t have had it any other way.

He told me he couldn’t wait, so he proposed the same day.

I didn’t help my so pick out my ring at all. He had a vague idea of what I wanted and I had no say lol he wanted to wait until the perfect moment, so I had no idea when he got the ring or when he would propose. He got the ring ordered a week before he decided to propose.

My husband waited 6 months. He picked up the ring in February and wanted to propose on a camping trip so he was waiting till summer and didn’t end up doing it until July because my mom was dealing with some health stuff that was taking up a lot of my time. It was 100% worth the wait, the proposal was completely us and he put so much thought into it.

I was lucky enough that he got it a few days before Easter when he wanted to propse so I only waited maybe 3-4 days, but I seriously thought I was going to explode waiting for that ring.

3.5 months and it felt like an eternity. He actually was planning to wait a full 6 months but pushed up the engagement since he was tired of waiting himself. Looking back it was fun waiting for the surprise but I was definitely a basket case in terms of trying to guess when it was going to happen… LOL.

He had the ring for about 30 minutes. Picked it up from the jeweler, drove to my house and proposed.
