Mine took about two hours for an updo, and that included putting it in rollers, and the actual updo. They did my make-up while my stylish finish my hair, though, so the two hours included hair and make-up.

My hair trial took about an hour. I imagine it won’t take much longer than that on the day.

Have you had a hair trial? What kind of style are you planning on having? You could always talk to your stylist and ask how long she thinks you should allocate for your hairstyle…they tend to have a good approximation of these things.  My hair took about 45 min in my trial, but I expect it to take about an hour when it’s the real deal and more finalized.

My was estimated at 2 hours, but she said block 2.5 to be safe.  It took almost 3 hours.  I did have a trial.  Needless to say, no time for pictures as originally scheduled.  Everything took longer than anticipated but at least we weren’t late to the ceremony.

@miss-spunkin:  My hair appointment was at 8:30AM and I was done by around 10:30/11… I think it definitely depends what style you want and the technique involved.

If you’re nervous, maybe have a trial and see what happens…

But whatever you do, don’t try to rush your appt because I did that with my nails and they all came out crooked and of different lengths (apparently I was the only one that noticed but, that’s not the point! lol)

At my trial it took a little over 3 hours for hair and make-up.  That included a wash, and blow out too plus flat iron.  The day of the wedding I won’t be doing those as I will have done them the day prior, so it wil just be styling.  I have my appointment at 10am for a 3:30 ceremony.

Ask your stylist how long she thinks it will take and then add an hour to be safe.

My stylist is FAST.  She did hair for 12 women in just over 4.5 hours.  My trial lasted less than an hour, and most of that was getting my hair curled.

All that said, I built in an extra hour on top of how long she told me it would take to get my and my BMs’ hair done.  I’m glad I did because getting everyone dressed and ready to go took much longer than expected.
