I have the worst trouble getting hold of my florist. She is doing the centrepieces for the reception and my bouquets – but she is one of the preferred suppliers of my reception venue.
I have had to complain twice now to my reception venue before she gets back to me and at this stage I am just to close to the wedding to change florists.
Anywhoo, I left a message on Friday afternoon for her to call me back. It’s now after hours on Monday night and I still haven’t heard anything. Do I give her longer, or ring her first thing tomorrow? I already ‘dobbed’ on her again to my reception venue and they said they will chase her up if I don’t hear anything by Thursday (when I am meeting with them).

I generally give 48 hours, or 2 working days. So if you contacted her Friday arvo, and she hadn’t replied by Tuesday arvo, then first thing Wednesday I’d be chasing her up.
It is so frustrating when vendors don’t answer promptly. I don’t expect them to call back immediately if they are busy, but if they are so busy they can’t reply in 2 days then maybe they are too busy for my business and I’ll take it elsewhere.

I would probably call her on Wednesday morning as Roux suggested. At the earliest you could contact the florist after lunch on Tuesday if it is really bothering you. I have been having a horrible time getting ahold of some vendors lately. If it’s somebody I’m already contracted with I give them about two days before contacting them again. If I’m not contracted with them and they don’t call me back in a timely manner I assume they don’t need/want my business and move on.
I hate when it feels like you are prodding people with a stick just to get their attention…

It’s a business relationship and I would give them 2 working days, or roughly 48 hours.

Either give her a time to call back or tell her to expect a call at a certain time from you.

I give them 24 hours, but since you already booked them, I don’ t know.
