They will be fine tomorrow. If I leave leftovers in the fridge, we rarely eat them the next night as it is nice not to have to eat the same thing 2 nights in a row.

I generally package up our leftovers into freezer containers right after dinner as I need meals to take to work and SO needs meals to eat when I’m at work.

@brideatbeach: As long as they’re refrigerated and weren’t sitting out for a super long time I usually cut my leftovers off at a week (and I’m paranoid about expiration dates and such). I think you’ll be fine.

@brideatbeach: I am too. Fiance gets upset because I won’t eat things past the sell by date most of the time, lol

I tend to keep leftovers for around a week and I’ve never gotten sick.  You’ll definitely be fine for Tuesday or Wednesday!

I usually keep leftovers 3-4 days and try to use them in our lunches.  Something I make Monday will be tossed by Wednesday or Thursday if it’s not eaten, for example.

I’m definitely the wrong person to ask. My husband and I are both like “hey…smell this…you think it’s still good?!”

We keep them for about a week, and that’s when we start to think they might go bad soon. If you don’t think you’ll get around to them that quick, you can always freeze ’em!

@Mrs. Guinness: LOL. That is me to a T. : D

@julies1949: That is so weird. I have NEVER gotten food poisoning from leftovers — and I regularly eat them a week after they were first put in the fridge.

I was always told never to keep anything for more then 5 days and if it start to look or smell weird before then to toss it. Pasta I would only keep for about 2 days because I have kept it longer and it didnt taste as good after that

We routinely eat food that is a week old.  As long as food is stored and reheated properly and doesn’t look or smell bad it should be fine.
