@Creiddylad:  it’s okay πŸ™‚ I guess there isn’t really any particular reason why I think it’ll turn out this way but do try not to get my hopes up over things I have no control over.

when he told me that he wasn’t going to do it this year for sure he also mentioned that he felt bad I might end up doing it myself and I think I also got it stuck in my head that that probably means there’s a good chance he won’t do it before our 4th anniversary – which in turn means that there would be a good chance I’ll get in there first. The way he acts and is about things I just have a hard time feeling like it’ll happen in 2014, so here hoping he surprises me :3

I hope I kind of answered your question!  XD xx

@MaidMarian:  So he won’t do it this year, and you’ve resolved to propose to him within a certain amount of time of being together, I guess, right? That definitely seems sensible– why does they guy always have to do the proposing, anyway?!

He does clearly want to marry you, though, I assume? I mean, he’s not insisting you guys wait for a long time because he’s not sure? If that was the case, I’d be a little worried about you. πŸ˜‰

I think you answered part of the question. If you don’t want to explain more, that’s OK. πŸ™‚

I Voted 3 months for less, although I believe deep in my soul that he will ask by my 26th birthday (late January). It’s funny, because about 1 year ago, I half-jokingly told him that I would not be waiting no more that 2.5 years for a ring, and I think that he actually listened to me LOL. This past July 31st was our 2nd year anniversary and he mentioned “looks like I need to start saving money to get something pretty expensive soon…” while smiling. and I just DIED inside of excitement. But I guess he technically has until January 31 haha. I will keep you posted!

the ring should be here in just over 2 weeks all being well. So I’m hoping he proposes straight away!!! I cannot contain my excitement!

@kpcascio:  I probably need to join the shut it up pact as well as well!

I voted for three months or less. My BF told me to take a week off of work in early December, but won’t tell me what for. He lovesssss to do surprises for me, but this time will not give me any clues (whereas normally I have a ton of clues). I don’t want to think too much about it and then be disappointed, but he was asking about rings a month or two ago as well… πŸ™‚

I’m going insane knowing that some sort of surprise is happening – whether or not it’s what I think it is!

I voted less than a month but I’m not positive.  I think it will be either less than a month or around 8 months.

I originally thought he was going to wait until he got a promotion in the spring.  But then he started mentioning wedding things more.  And then for my birthday coming in November he suggested going to a very meaningful place for us.  Then the big clue – an accidental call from the jeweler to me instead of him!

If it wasn’t for that phone call I really wouldn’t suspect it until May.  He’s really big on the surprise aspect and even had me shopping for what I want for my birthday present this past weekend.  I know he hasn’t talked to my parents yet either.  So I’m really not sure.

2 years or more, we’re in no hurry to grow up and already have a great life.  We’re both the oldest in our family where noone is married, none of our friends are married, I’m still in school, were buying a townhome first, and will wait till we’re 100% financially able to pay for a wedding and ALL of our bills ourselves.  Also its a huge commitment that we dont take lightly.  Doesent mean I don’t have have fun planning but it never seams like waiting

We’re heading to London for vacation in 3 weeks. I’m 90% sure it’s happening there. Waiting for not only for the vacation of a lifetime BUT a potential proposal is driving me CRAZY.

Even though we’re planning a wedding already, I’m still waiting for a ring and it is 100% happening before November 1st. I know it won’t happen this week though because I work so late every night. I am REALLY EXCITED.

Haha! Two months ago I sent my BF an email including a small ring budget and some pictures – then I waited. Turns out that email went directly into his Spam folder and he did not read it until yesterday.

He told me to increase the budget x4 and asked for more pictures! I have a feeling it will happen sooner rather than later, and hopefully before my birthday next year.

    Good luck to everyone.
