Can be as quick as 10 minutes if he went into a jewlery store and picked one up and had it sized on site.  Or as long as weeks to months if he’s working with a jeweller to design one.  My husband went in an picked one out in a day once he decided to propose, and picked it up 3 weeks later.

If you get a ring from a designer (ie. Tacori, Scott Kay, Sylvie, etc.), I’ve seen that it usually takes 5-6 weeks for the ring to actually be made once you’ve ordered it.  The store will ship them the diamond, and the designer makes the ring.

Like others said, it could be 5 minutes if the place has it in stock. Or 6 months if you want something custom.

My fiance ordered my setting online and had it in a couple days. He took it to a local jeweler to get a diamond set in it and that took 2 days. So about a week for mine…. and then i had to wait 3 more weeks for him to give it to me!

It all depends.  My husband picked out my ring in under an hour, they had it in the store, and we walked out with it. When we upgraded. they happened to have the exact Verragio setting I wanted, so I got to take home the E-Ring that day.  The wedding band, however, took about 6 weeks to come in because the jewelry store had to order it from Verragio.  You could ask what his idea is- if he is going to custom make it or if he had a place in mind. that might help some.
