It depends on where you are getting it from. If the ring has to be made, but it is a stock mold, it could take 1-2 weeks, then probably another week to get it set. If it’s a stock setting from a jewelry store, they can order it in and have it within a week.

It took my Fiance to get it a little longer than I was expecting (every time I visited him I thought he had the ring hidden in his house somewhere) He was saving up money and bought it online. Its funny because we went on a mini trip in January and I swore I was going to get proposed to then. But he didn’t have the ring yet. lol

It depends on how particular you are with your ering.  I think you should be able to get the ring in a few months.  Custom settings might take longer.  If you get a family stone, it definitely expedites the process.

My Fiance said it took him a while to find the ering.  He basically researched it to death.  lol

My ring takes about 1 week to get the mount from the jewelry store, then another 2 weeks for the gem stone store to send it off to put the sapphire in.

It doesn’t take long, but whenever you’re super excited about getting your ring and waiting for that proposal, 3 weeks is a long time!

However, if you get the whole ring (the mount and the stone) from one jewelry store, it only takes about a week to 1.5 weeks.

So, getting a ring between September and December is completely plausible.

Good luck! πŸ™‚

@ReganLove:  No problem! I was really grateful when the jeweler explained the process to me because it put my mind at ease. I’m glad I could help! πŸ™‚

My ring was special ordered due to the size of my finger. it took about 4 weeks for the ring to come in and now it has been another 2 weeks of sizing issues. I hope when we pick it up on Friday it will finally be perfect :).

Then I have to wait till next month for the proposal!

@ReganLove:  A stock mold is basically any ring that’s already been designed. Some companies wait until you make your order and pick your size to pour the metal into their pre-made mold for that ring and size and actually make the ring.

This is different from a custom ring, where they have to make a cast and mold first, so that takes longer.
