It really really depends on the manufacturer and when you order.

I hate to say it but for a June 25 wedding date you need to find a dress PRONTO. Assuming you want a dress that requires to be ordered and not off the rack and possibly need alterations as well.

You might try sample sales as well? With wedding season coming up soon I’m sure there are tons coming up.

Some designers take more or less time than others…some do rushes but even that usually means 4 months and with alterations, you would need to order now unless you are ok with getting an off the rack or sample dress or buying used.

PP’s are right; if you buy off-rack or get a sample that needs little altering, you still have time, but if you’re planning on trying one on at a salon and ordering it, it’s going to be cutting it close to get it ordered and altered in the next five months and you’ll likely have to pay rush fees.

For mine – time of ordering to it arriving took exactly 3 months. Though, I think it depends on the designer too. So, the sooner the better.

It really depends on the designer that you get.  My dress took 4 months but they told me the time frame for my dress was 3-6 months.  You also need to calculate time for your alterations.  I only needed to have a bustle added and my dress was gone for 3 more weeks due to the back up at the shop.  I would really try to find something ASAP or look into buying something off the rack that doesnt need to be ordered.

Good luck

a bridal shop will be able to tell you which designers come in sooner than others, but i would recommend casablanca. their rush fee is only like $50, and i was quoted 2 months delivery for a of the casablanca dresses i tried.

Depends on how much you’re willing to pay.  I wouldn’t do it any later than 3 months out, but THAT’ IT CUTTING IT REALLY REALLY CLOSE (and that depends on the designer as well).  It will also cost a lot more and added stress that may not be worth it (especially bc its getting closer to that day).  But technically, that’s the latest you can order it.

However, I agree with other bees.  Its time to make some decisions as soon as you are able and get this thing ordered.  You definitely don’t want to wait too long on the dress …. save that for the smaller things.  😉

I am getting married in October and when I was looking for dresses (beginning of this month) everyone at the boutique’s were telling me that I was already behind and needed to order soon.  So I would say you need to find a dress ASAP, especially considering you at least want 2 weeks to look.

Here’s a site that gives you all the estimated delivery dates for each designer (regular and rush delivery).  Hope it helps to give you an idea =)
