these are sooo pretty 🙂

As for the time, it depends, i just took our engagement pictures and we were told to wait about a month for those ..summer is a busy season. I think a good estimate is 4-6  weeks 🙂

Your pictures are very nice.

As for how long to wait, that is something you need to ask your photographer. It really depends on how many other clients are ahead of you and how many photographs of yours they have to go through. I am sure that if you emailed your photographer or called him/her that they would be happy to give you a timeline. Since they have already sent you some teasers though, I am sure they are working on them and will get them to you as fast as they can.

And congratulations!!!

My photographer blogged about 20 pictures the day after wedding. Same with the e-pics. However she only did very minor finishing as someone else more experienced is handling the real editing. It took about a month to get 10 totally finished pictures of the e-shoot on the main blog and I expect we’ll get the disc with all of the e-pics back in another 2-4 weeks. I’m expecting a longer timeline for the wedding however, as my photographer apparently shot over 3000 pictures. Plus this is their busiest time of year. I guess it depends on how many pictures there are to finish and how much editing happens with each one. I’d say ballpark 1-3 months is pretty normal.

But doesn’t it feel like forever?

You look gorgeous!  It took me only a week or two to get all the pictures posted online and 6 weeks to get the album and CD in the mail.

6-10 weeks is pretty standard.  It’s usually a little bit slower this time of year because it’s wedding season and most photographers are slammed with work right now.

Your teasers are pretty!  Love that tree you got married underneath!

I always tell my brides when we book how long it will be before their photos are ready. My time frame is between 6-8 weeks. Unlike a lot of photographers, I edit EVERYTHING for my brides. The amount of photos is less, but it allows me to keep my costs down as well. I’ll shoot between 1500-2000 photos, go through each of them one-by-one, and deliver the absolute best photos, fully-edited and high resolution, within 8 weeks.

Many photogs give all of the photos, but I don’t want to go through 20 shots of the same three seconds, all slightly minutely different. I choose the best, which is what you get. My brides seem to really dig it.

I would wait a month – if you don’t hear anything, feel free to shoot them an email asking for a timeframe. Wedding season is crazy. The old rule of thumb is for every hour of your wedding that was shot – that’s six hours of post-production work. 8 hour wedding = 48 hours. Just for yours. 🙂
