Mine took just under 3 months and because of the major modifications I had done to my dress it took another 3 months of alterations. If you’re not changing the style of the dress alterations shouldn’t take nearly that long.

I ordered mine on May 30th. My estimated arrival date was August 22. My wedding is November 11. I had a message this morning saying that my dress is in already. I haven’t had my fitting or alterations done, but that was for the dress only.

Ok. I know what I’m about to say isn’t helpful in your dress dilemma. But….I was so excited to finally see your name pop up in the dress boards. Just so happy for you. 🙂

I didn’t get my dress from DB, but I was told it could take 5-6 months and my gown came in just under 3 months after I ordered it.  Alterationst took about a month and a week but probably could have been done quicker if needed. I had alot of alterations done.

BUT my bridesmaids ordered their dresses from DB and they were in very quickly, I want to say like 1 month later. 🙂  My experience with DB (BM dresses and shoes) has been that they act like it will take really long time and then it’s there quickly… that was during the fall/winter months though not summer time which may make a difference.  Who knows, hehe, hope that helps though!

David’s seems notorious with telling you a MUCH later arrival date than actual.  I ordered my wedding gown from another location so no help there.  But David’s gave us wait times of 3 months for the bridesmaid dresses and most where in within two weeks!

Because they mass produce, they do starting making them prior to your order, which is different from other designers/locations.  If it just so happens that your size and style is already in production (which seems to be the case 99.9% of the time) you’ll have it in probably half the time they tell you.
